@@TBB8472 Thank you for watching. Keeping it wholesome was important to me. That’s a big reason I have Derek with me. He’s our youngest of three kids. The other two are in university.
They are similar but I think Violet Crumble is less sickly sweet than Crunchie. Crunchie has better chocolate though - and you're right Dad, chocolate could be a little thicker. You probably need to seek out 'Cherry Ripe' for your next Aussie treat. I reckon the kid would score that one a 9 at least ;)
@@geetee4459 thanks and I agree that Crunchie is sweeter. And thanks for the idea of ‘Cherry Ripe.’ I’ve never heard of it, but we will keep our eyes open for it at the import shop.
At least you pronounced Melbourne properly lol, been watching you American TH-cam food critics a lot lately, there seems to be heaps of you, I've tried a few American snacks including Twinkie they r gross lol any way I'm glad to see you like our tim Tam's ur right about violent crumble they should have a thicker coating of chocolate, have you ever tried our flake mmmm yummy lol ny I'm going to subscribe and watch you guys 4 awhile 😂😂😂
@@Craig61-f2u We appreciate the subscription. I’m not a fan of Twinkies either. The last time I had one I was only 8 years old, and Derek has never had one. I’ll keep my eyes open for Flake. I’m glad I pronounced Melbourne correctly. Those are the kinds of details I try to get right. Thanks for watching!
I’m old enough to remember when Hoadley made the Violet Crumble Bar and the chocolate on the Violet Crumble was superior to Crunchie by Cadbury( in my opinion).
Crunchie is softer, but Violet Crumble tastes a lot better in my opinion. I'm surprised you were able to get one in the US, because they don't seem to be as popular in Australia these days...perhaps because of the dominance of the bigger brands in supermarkets.
@@chadjcrase Maybe we will have to do a side-by-side comparison between the Crumble and the Crunchie. Also, I was completely surprised to see it at the shop. But we are glad we did.
😊so glad you like our Aussie treats! Your videos are all wholesome cool but of course i like it best when you rate our stuff🎉

Crumble is amazing. Doesn't get enough respect stateside.
@@thrashertm We agree. We just think that not enough Americans even know about it.

Violet Crumble is better than Crunchie - better quality honeycomb.
@@brucelamberton8819 I haven’t gone back through our scores, but I believe we gave the Crumble a higher score than the Crunchie. Thanks for watching!
