The intriguing thing about thier love story is the journey before this love confession happened. The character build is amazing....i mean, fang haishi grew from that dependent little girl who was in awe of her master to an independent strong and intelligent woman that stole Fang Jainming's heart. I think this is one of the best chinese traditional dramas i have seen. It's all encompassing...with romance, comedy, suspense, betrayal...all in the right proportion. Some people say it ended as a tragic love story but i beg to differ. I think this was a brilliant movie. Fang jianming and Fang Haishi, though seperated by location and probably position/political status; still remained in each other's lives loving each other.

The design of Haishi's outfit in this scene is very meaningful. The sea wave embroidery along her sleeves represents her state as Madame Pearl, a title she has proved herself to worth with her efforts. The dark yellow of her dress also shows that she has achieved maturity (after all those challenges) and was able to match her master. Compared to the previous dresses, this dress is not lovely and romantic with light, cute colors (pink, sky blue), but it is definitely the perfect match to Fan Jianming's dark blue robe. In this scene, Haishi has finally achieved her dream, that is , to stand side by side with her love, not just a pupil standing behind him.
100%!!! I act love (starts from eps 34-48) when/after Fang JianMing confess his feelings to his best friend that someone has stole his heart. When he learned from ah Xu, that the person stolen his heart will never return again, he step up his game and lure her back to him with the marr cert!❤️ (Although i find it a bit cringe ahahaha but STILL LOVE THE GESTURE 🥰❤️😘) Then he finally confess his love to Haishi and ACTUALLY marry her! And after knowing hes dying and gave Haishi to his best friend to take care of her (he sacrifice his last chance happiness), he cant hide (and fake anymore) his love altough he knows its hurting both his and Haishi feelings, and secretly protects her no matter what. (My fav ❤️) (and because he has confessed and they have married,so he cant hide and run away from her 🤗😘😂) After the Mount Leiyu incident,i believed he has come to his senses and thinks/decides that; he will spend his last dying days with his wife Haishi no matter what may come; just to make her happy and make beautiful memories together as husband and wife. Im truly 1000000% obsess with novoland: pearl eclipse cdrama/Fang JianMing/Haishi and other casts too!! Cant move on guys! I need help! I need mental help! PLS!! I think season 2 of pearl eclipse (with happy ending that both JianMing and Haishi finally together forever happily married and have cute babies) will give me closure and move on! 🤗🥰❤️😘 Anyone can pass my hope to the writers and producers pls?! Ahahhahah

Everything was excellently done. Everyone played there parts well. The music and songs tied everything together. Excellently planned for all the characters
I love this drama and my favorite leads…. Great chemistry, action pack, great production and acting….. devoted deep love…. Though loyal to the country still had an opportunity to surrender to love and experience happiness…. Ending not sad because they still are together serving the country though in different positions but working for the same goal ML and FL end protecting the child of the Emperor
Can we please talk about Emperor Xu here ? I mean willingly or unwillingly he becomes the third wheel in the love story. Jianming insisted him to keep Haisi as his second wife, he agreed and provided all the respect to her & to a certain level looked after her sincerely. When it comes to clear the misunderstanding between Master and his favourite disciple, he is the one he made the bridge. And my favourite part is from 0:51 where he says "Does the chump finally got his sense back ?" That's really cute as we viewers already know that how the master-disciple literally drove his crazy...😄 And of course, then the scene of Jianming and Haisi's romantic run from the seating area to the house. For me that one is one of the most romantic scenes in this drama ❤
though the ending didn't end as I hoped, this remains one of my fav couple and best scene from all dramas and films I've seen..💕❤️Sister MiMi and William did very well in here..I felt this scene🫰💐
There must be cut scenes right after they fell down the cliff. Something (conversations/actions) must have happened for his mindset and their dynamic to change that obviously. And I NEED THOSE SCENES RELEASED FROM THE VAULT!
