These people were playing real music from the heart and enjoying themselves. That genre was well loved across the entire region...until it was hijacked, politicised and weaponized by the likes "Boro" to cause division (cf. Isoma Na Ikwerre). Nigeria Kwerile is a classic celebrating everyone- Ali Nigeria, Ali Africa, Ali Israel, rivers State, Santa Isabel (i.e. Equatorial Guinea), Ali Igbo, Ikwerre, Ali Ahoada, Etche, Amadioha Ozuzu, Igwe ka Ali, Mami Wata, Agbara etc. compelling and fantastic. Highly recommended.
Ikwerre music runs in my blood, i love jimmy conter so much even though i was a little boy when he died but my dad told me a lot about him. My dad once partnered with him to produced a song. My dad name is ICE WATER and i'm very sure you've heard of such name before cuz he is very popular within ikwerre community. My dad also has a music band but he gave it all up cuz the music was a big threat to his Life. God bless us all. reply to my comment if you want to listen to some of my dad's music that are similar to this one.

"My man and my broda, come and hear, what I see, inside the bar, one night, as I was passing, through to The Boundary, one short boy, and short girl, dey begin to arrange, about Love-Love" "Hand by hand, leg by leg"... Are the lyrics above by Jimmy Conter? I love that song!!!

No, they were from Area Scatter, the women's clothes wearing musician from Ohaji who died in a motor vehicle accident in the 1980s.
I reckon "Boro". Flip side Ikwerre Na Isoma.
