  • With all of the money in the world at their disposal, celebrities should only be getting amazing tattoos. But as a person with eyes I'm sure you've noticed that this is rarely the case. Celebrities end up with some of the worst, idiotic and poorly-done tattoos on Earth. The million dollar question is-why? We asked our panel to try to suss out why exactly the most privileged folks to walk this Earth consistently end up getting tattooed by kitchen magicians.
    Welcome to Season 20 of Tattoo Artists React! It's a small miracle that we have made it through 20 seasons, but don't you dare think that we're washed up and out of ideas. This season has some of our most outrageous topics yet! You're going to laugh, you're going to cry, you're going to mash that subscribe button and share with your friends.... we hope. I think your right, it takes quite a while to get into a tattooist nowadays, I’ve just turned 60 years of age and I’ve just had my complete back piece tattoo it took a while to get my first appointment and it took 25 months almost to the day, but celebrities probably do think that they are more important than everyone else and expect the tattooist to drop everything and do their tattoos, I think the worst tattoos that I’ve seen on a celebrity has to be David Navarro, for a rock star with loads of money you would think he’d get some decent tattoos.

    It’s such a head scratcher. These celebs can literally go to any tattoo artist in the world and have the money to pay for any tattoo. There’s dream tattooists that I would love to be tatted by but they’re always on the other side of the globe. And I get the convenience thing though

      Many Celebrities probably aren’t prioritizing quality because they have so much money that they can be used to always prioritizing speed & convenience. I don’t think trying to book appointments and compromising with an artist who has pride in their work is very appealing. I think they’d rather just pay some dude/chick they know to agree to fly out & tattoo whatever they’d like on them at a moments notice even if they’re on tour or something

      @ParadeofCrows ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jax422 I just think you're very unfamiliar with classic tattoo culture if you honestly think that all artists that take walk-ins are bad. it seems to me like youve bought into the celebrity tattoo artist narrative that inked likes to sell. There are plenty of very good artists that aren't backlogged for months popularity =/= talent at least definitely not always, this is how people end up supporting the same "award winning" tattoo artists and end up getting completely ripped off for standard levels of work.
      Inked magazine and the tattooers that pedal this narrative would have you believe you should be paying 1000$ for a 3 inch photo-realistic uninspired mediocre design lol

    • @jax422
      @jax422 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ParadeofCrows It’s not about celebrity tattoo culture. Classic tattoo culture doesn’t exist anymore. Tattoos are main stream. There are more and more people getting tattoos and talking about artists everyday. Word of mouth travels fast. I live in a major US city. As soon as someone discovers a great artist, word of mouth spreads through the area and they are booked solid for the next 6 months. You walk into any shop, the only people taking walk-ins are the trainees, new hires (new to the shop/area), or artists that lack certain skills. In the current culture, good artists don’t stay undiscovered for long.

    • @ParadeofCrows
      @ParadeofCrows ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jax422 This is a shit take. I also live in a large city. This is not how things are you can find plenty of good full fledged artists doing walk ins as long as you go to a good shop lol, you can also book appointments with these people. "Tattoo culture doesn't exist anymore" says someone who clearly has very little experience with tattoos. Outside of celebrity tattoo artists and inked magazine. Alright bud - you are delusional, celebrities get shit tattoos because they find artists willing to do housecalls or go to artists with hella instagram followers because they think thats indicative of quality, have no regard for pricing or anything they just take whatever some other celebrity endorsed tattooer is willing to slap onto them.
