どちらかというと、私自身が両片思いの前提が考えます。
ゲタ吉(鬼太郎)は水木好きですけど、「水木さんに僕と恋に落ちてほしくない、でも他の人かと恋に落ちてもっとほしくない！」で考える。
そして実は、水木はそのことずっと前から知っていた。彼はただ鬼太郎自分で言ってほしいんだ。

I think if Mizuki is a student at Hogwarts, maybe the Sorting Hat will choose him to Gryffindor, but Mizuki will say" No Gryffindor !" because he want to get more power and connections.

Though Mizuki is a normal human without superpower like Ureizoku(幽霊族)
He has more powerful traits: smart and astute.
I think that's one of reason why he is Slytherin's student 😆
And for Kitaro, he is very patient to play game with him, and teach him.
I have been watching this for several times now, I can't stop. This video rotated inside my mind since yesterday
I love how Kitarou is hesitant throughout the video. He got conflicted by his desire and guilt.
Mizuki, on the other hand, after watching for the second time, is clear from the beginning of what he wants.
My favorite part is when the younger Kitarou on the palm of Mizuki's hand. I think that's when Mizuki knows when Kitarou begin infatuated with him.
Btw, Tanaka Kitarou has a nice ring to it.
Also, Mizuki got associate a kit with water. Slytherin's element is water. A lot media and myths depict a Water God as a serpent-like creature. I want to Scream.
I'm done commenting. Now I want to bury myself in my cocoon while unable to stop thinking about this AU.
Also, also, Kitarou is definitely a Pureblood while Mizuki is said to be a Muggleborn (but actually a Half-blood)
PS. Their obsession with each other is so palpable, my gosh. I can see clear as a day like those blue and green wisp around them (even if with Mizuki, I have to focus more)
Also, Mizuki's name got scribbled because we don't know his full name is a nice touch as well

And Mizuki is a sensible adult, but good at reading minds.
He know Kitaro love him so much, and Kitaro refusal to recognize.
So he make a plan, want to push this child tell the trust personally.
(Kitaro goes to Hogwarts in the name of Tanaka Getakichi, so his last name is Tanaka. I like it too.)
