Wow, those Fullmetal Alchemist editions look really nice.....
I read quite a bit of the translated web novel of So I am a Spider, so what some time ago... now started to read the light novel... its such a great series.....
In March, I only finished By the Grace of the Gods Volume 5 hehe....
I have Vol 1 of SIASSW coming in the mail tomorrow, really excited to get into it.
Those Fullmetal editions are stunning. I’m reading through FMA for the first time right now actually, so far I’m loving it.

The rising of the shield hero
Ascendance of a bookowrm.
The only thing they have in common is that I discovered their mangas before the anime was announced and I was validated in liking them :) Also, they're all isekais.
What I like from Shield Hero the most is that he never vievs himself as the best and so he is contantly preparing for the next battle (I really have a thing for logistics). Also, when his party becomes bigger, he always plans on who he takes with him and what those left behind will be doing while he's away. The best part of the novels are the character arcs.
Ascendance of a bookworm is the story of a girl who loves books but is crushed by them on accident and is reincarnated as the sickly daughter of a poor soldier in a medieval world where only a few are even literate. It is currently my favorite because the light-novel handwaves nothing. When she decides to make paper, she first needs to get healthy enough to even get to the forest. And while she knows the process in theory, she has never made any before so she fails her first few attempts. This leads her to the merchant-ways where the logistics get turned up to eleven. Budgeting and planning on future ventures, bargaining for a fair price and commissioning her intellectual property to capable people. In short, it's the story of a not OP Doktor Stone.
It's also written the best of the three. Where Spider is almost confusing with the first-person perspective and Shield Hero is over-explaining some things in the most boring ways, Bookworm manages to stay perfectly clear while still capturing the personalities of every single character perfectly. Those people also get a decent amount of screen time since after the epilogue, around 30% of the novel is dedicated to events from other people's perspective.
I would be very happy if my rambling leads you to trying those two out and maybe even liking them.
