Hi Coco. I’m a huge fan. I’m curious what is the best paper to use for watercolors? My paper tends to warp out. I’ve also been buying the Dr. Ph Martin color sets but have yet to use them as they did not come with any instructions. I also bought the Qor earth and intro set and I love them but they are super expensive, so what is the biggest and best pan set I can buy with the most colors? I love your paintings!
I love using heavier paper: hot press is wonderful. My favorite sketchbook is a multimedia Canson XL with tear away pages. It is pretty flat with a slight tooth. It can handle water well but not sopping wet, wet into wet everywhere, it will warp. But when it dries you can flip the page, lightly spray the back with water, then put a sheet of paper towel on that page. Close the sketchbook and put a heavier book on top, let it dry. Usually flattens out the paper just fine. For paints I make my own palette with the tube colors I love. Daniel Smith, Winsor and Newton, etc.
