Informative as always, Rob, thank you. Question - are you familiar with Olympus lenses that have a user programmable button? My 12-40 has a button labelled L-Fn which I’ve never used and am struggling with what to do with it, if anything of course.

I don't use it much myself. If I were to assign something, it would be to magnify or some other benign function that wouldn't affect my other settings. I know some like to assign it MF rather than using the MF clutch.

    Thank you.
You recently made a video on Photolab regarding its wide-gamut, including colour depth.
Can OM Workspace export (from raw) to anything other than 8-bit colour? (which will show as 24 bit because 3x8=24).
OM Workspace can export jpeg and tiff but as far as I can see, only 8-bit. Does OM Workspace even use a working colour space? Or does it just let your monitor ICM get on with the job? (a decent UHD editing monitor will have a wide gamut)
Converting the raw is to get a better image, and that is not going to be the 8-bit jpeg (with free banding) but a 16-bit (aka 48 bit), or am I missing something?

I don't see any way for OM Workspace to export an image that will have all the data. There is an option to export as 16bit tiff, but it seems to compress the data down to an 8-bit sRGB color space anyway and just stuff it into a 16bit container. I've tried importing into Ps and then converting to ProPhoto, but it didn't make any difference. The data is just not there.
