I'm not sure if I understand. Do you mean that Hair from Mesh Strips can't be applied to the hair? Please create a report in our forums to give you proper support on this issue. Forums: ephere.com/plugins/maxon/c4d/ornatrix/forums.html
@@Ephere I tried but the hair detaches from the mesh and tries to float in the opposite direction as the gravity. I tired it with x particles cloth and basic c4d cloth. Try it
@@marcus_ohreallyus Thank you for the details. That sounds like a bug. Please create a report on our forums so we can address it: ephere.com/plugins/maxon/c4d/ornatrix/
@@marcus_ohreallyus Have in mind that, if you animate the mesh strips in any way, you need to keep them attached to the head. For example, when you generate the guides from the strips and attach them to the head like I did in the video, they will act strange if you move the strip mesh away. Maybe I should have demonstrated that. Basically, just make sure that the mesh strips move together with the head.
Very clear, informative, and easy to follow.
Nice video and workflow! Thank you!
Great video thanks
So even though there is the generating hair from poly strips workflow you made before, we can create any hairstyle with any of these workflows?
Yes, there are many options in regards to workflow
@@Ephere This is awesome thank you!!
Is this still in development for cinema 4d?
can you animate/simulate them afterwards?
Yes. The mesh strips can be either animated by hand or with a cloth simulation. The hair guides can be simulation with Moov Physics.
I tried but when using hair from mesh it can't be applied to the hair, even though the plate works fine

still lost here, partly because i need to see how the head is done in mesh strips, and i need the video in realtime so i can follow
Blender version of ornatrix in the future?
We do not have plans for a Blender version.
hope keep update C4D version , this is only plugin to do hair in C4D
Yes, the hair can be deformed by the mesh strips, but not if you use cloth...which makes it useless for simulations.
The hair will follow the deformation of the mesh strips, doesn’t matter how you deform the mesh. It should work with cloth simulation as well.
