He really needs to focus on the uk scene. Once you lose the foundations, the rest soon crumbles. Signing already built fighters for extortionate money in america isnt the way
I think him and Warren have agreed that Queensburys take the UK market next few years and matchroom takes the US market. If I was a UK matchroom fighter I'll be nervous after AJ Hearn is off to the States.
I'm hoping Frank still concentrates on the Uk as much as he does now when they join dazn. Will be interesting to see if a similar thing happens, as when matchroom moved to Dazn.
Great that Queensbury are providing more quality competition and nice to see all promoters getting opportunities. At the moment Matchroom getting spanked in the ring, but make no mistake Matchroom are the biggest and best promoters in the business. Hearn has helped bring big time boxing to the forefront. DAZN and the saudis love what he's done and Hearn's world business plan makes sure matchroom will forever be included in all deals. I expect new signings, new waffle, new banter and some great fights coming our way. Frank on top but Eddie and the Hearns will have a new hit record soon. i think Turki is planning a DAZN takeover in the coming months, hence DAZN is increasing the value of their company by putting all major promoters under one roof.
Matchroom seem to have been spreading themselves to thin trying to dominate in all markets whilst Queensbury have strengthened in the UK scene and have most of the top heavyweights. Been saying this for ages they have not been as fully focused on the UK market because both DAZN and Eddie want to be big players in the US despite the US boxing scene being a shadow of it's former self and the inclusion of the Saudi cards with Turki pulling the strings as added another level of competition no one can compete against. Hearn will be fine I expect more of the same from the last yeat, with them all working together for the Saudi cards and working together on the domestic and international scene.
Eddie needs to try and refocus on the domestic scene - go out and find some new young talent. Considering Queensburys strong domestic position a resurgent Matchroom could create something of a Golden era for UK boxing. He has made inroads and put on shows around the world. I think he has made a mistake in allowing Frank to pilfer all the top heavyweights. Putting all his eggs in the AJ basket, whilst profitable, has ultimately proved a long term strategic mistake.
Eddie spent too much time sucking up to Canelo like a lap dog and trying to disprove the Americans that he neglected the heavyweight division/UK market which made him a success in the first place. Who ever controls the heavyweight division will become the top promoter and Eddie dropped the ball massively
Paddy Donovan possibly one to watch.
It looks like Queensbury will do shows in the USA which should worry Matchroom . Frank seems good at spotting up and coming fighters
Hearn has gone from overhyped ticket sellers to underrated talents.
To the extent that's true, it's not by choice.
Apparently jai isnt with eddie anymore. Eddie said it in an interview before massey, hes a free agent now
Very surprised
I didn't know that.

Bricktop doesn't mess about.

Does he have Cordina? He should look at re-signing Buatsi, fumbled big time there IMO
It’s rumoured buatsi is signing with warren
If anything Hearn is just looking to take Warren down with him. Joining DAZN is a huge mistake. Sinking ship.
Just seems like Matchroom are sporting a lot of "also rans".
Jack Caterall and Jia Opetia being the exceptions.
Leaving Sky was a massive mistake for Hearn
How
He’s spread himself too thin. You need a lot of minions to rule the world.
That's a good way of putting it.

Eddie is rolling in it. He has the worst trained and managed fighters but makes the most money.
Queensbury are the future of British 🇬🇧 boxing for years to come. Hearn should leave the UK and work a job in the Trump administration. 😅
Or even a Saudi position- perhaps for Turkey 🦃.
Trump will be sworn in on January 20th and very likely sworn at from then onward....
The DAZN is doing what the Saudi's want, then the Saudi's will move on DAZN. Just wait and see. If they have not done so already.
