This elephant stops at nothing to scratch an itch. Field guide and wildlife photographer Emily Whiting, 35, captured the hilarious moment an elephant knocked down a tree to use it as a scratching post at the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve in Limpopo, South Africa. Emily and a fellow field guide were driving when a five-tonne elephant bull in musth approached them with an attitude before it averted its attention to a nearby tree. The two field guides reversed the vehicle to a safer position and Emily began recording the interaction as the elephant continued to push the tree all the way over and proceed to use it as a scratching post for its rear.
