New Aquatec Swimming facility

The new-look Motherwell Aquatec has reopened after a £225,000 refurbishment. The pool and health suite have been given a facelift and are now open. The pool’s facelift includes a spinning wheel, tipping bucket, shark sprayer and jet spray.

Remember the Flume-a thon- and Ice-skate a thon for children in need back when it first opened when Neil brown was the manager. Place was always busy with people waiting to get in, Friday night BBQ and pool party was fun spent the end of the shift fishing out half eaten burgers from the pool. There used to be a Cafe, Soda bar, Ice rink, and a Bar for a beer upstairs and wee matt from Rock steady security on the front door. Frosty the bear was the ice rink mascot and some poor sod got to parade about the town centre to promote the Aquatec (ended up being a pub crawl in a bear costume).

I remember the first time I went in there it was disgusting it had plasters toenails and a lot more I went here with my dad but now the New Look is better it's nice and cleaners it's about time

No. But the pool is closed. And the health suite. And the whole centre is going to be demolished. That's how the public will be best served.
