    I tried this and when I weld my images they change to just an outline. All the line work disappears.

      Try Attaching them instead of Welding to see if that works better. If not, send a screenshot (including the layers panel) of how it looks before and after Welding/Attaching to sarah@craftwithsarah.com and I'll see if there is anything else I can think of to try :)

    Question, wouldn't it be easier to just use your pen to draw and cut?

    • @CraftWithSarah
      @CraftWithSarah  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I tried changing one of the line art images to "draw" but it doesn't keep the smooth lines as it adds draw lines around each edge of the existing black lines, so you get the "bubble effect" rather than it just drawing the outline.

    Why didn't you just use an outward offset to make the slightly larger rectangle?

    • @CraftWithSarah
      @CraftWithSarah  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good idea! I guess I didn't think of it at the time.

      Here is something I discovered if you want to use a square to located over some other object in your canvas if you change it From basic cut to draw pen you can see the outline of the square and you still have the ability to slice. It makes it so much easier to size the square and located where you want. I have not seen anyone using this technique but I discovered it and thought I would share it with your viewers.

      @@donnalannan2978 You can also change it to a "Guide" which does the same thing, but then it won't get cut out if you accidentally leave it in :)

    You should have added text

    • @CraftWithSarah
      @CraftWithSarah  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you mean a "Happy Halloween" sentiment or something like that? You could definitely do that for your own card if you decide to make one. You could use the "Draw" font to have the Cricut write the sentiment on a rectangle and then have the Cricut cut around the edge of the rectangle, and then cut a slightly larger rectangle from your border colour to make it match the edge of the card and topper.
