240a timberjack. This was so steep.the skidders would not climb. we found another way up.

    I would love to show you heards mountain in va. 6 dozer roads on the side of the mt , the only skidder to get the wood out was a cat , that swivel is the real steep ground getter, old franklin is also good mt. Machine too .

    I have a 78 240 D ! Best skidders on steep ground.

      The 380b or c was real good on steep ground also. One of my other videos was the side of this mountain we went up. We made this the down side. This video did no justice to how steep it really was. That machine was rolled over once on that job and the dozer almost went over.

      Wow. I don't remember seeing you on this job. It was to steep to go up. Video does not show how steep it was. I'm glad you are a good keyboard commando. Keep up the good work.

    Thats not what I call steep.I have same skidder and put a five speed in ten yrs ago and works better on steep ground particularily with winching and driving same time!!

      This video does no justice. We had a 225a it wouldn't go up. That became a down trail. The dozer wouldn't go either. He rolled that skidder on this job once. The dozer did a nose dive and almost went end over end.
