@@Lms800 fair enough but i would pick samsung s9 ultra that just my opinion but definitely the asus pad the one from the video is not worth it by million miles and also funny thing is that that price is too much for a 16 inch screen am i wrong cuz i see for that price(1k) screen that are bigger than 24 inches but yeah talk about it inches lol and price
seriously I came here expecting way more from asus. I currently use ipad pro for when I want to draw on a screen and a small intuos for drawing on pc, I think I'll continue with this setup
Nice to see Wacom getting more competition. They've relied on the patent they had for batteryless pens for ages and now that's over they've really just not been doing much vs other pen displays to compete. A lot of artists starting out even today are like "Oh I need a wacom" but honestly a lot of the competition from Huion/XP-Pen/Apple's ipad and now Asus apparently- most artists should be avoiding wacom as the cost to benefit isn't worth it. That and I've seen a lot of other artists I follow on twitter with similar defects that wacom refuses to help with.
yeah, price shocked me too. Also, that 4000 pressure levels, when xp pen already have 16000.. Lol It's not proffesional tablet at all. I don't know for who this tablet is
That lag you mentioned is 100% windows. Its Windows Ink. In windows 10, its fairly easy to disable, but in windows 11, depending on your tablet, its gonna require a registry edit. I just bought this tablet (definitely not at full price, i got it for a little under 700.) I had that lag until I got windows Ink disabled.

Thank you for an amazing review, I dont draw but I do read alot of news articles and need a device that I can mark text, take notes and write comments on. Can this device be helpful?
I find that I could go with or without the pen button. Either is fine. I prefer a round pen. Did the sides of the ASUS pen hurt your fingers or annoy you at all?
Why use a tablet when there is a Flow Z13 model? make the Z13 a stylus and a WACOM screen (so that you don't have to charge the stylus). A very cool solution for the Z13 tablet with an aluminum case with the ability to put the screen in landscape view, it's a pity that this exists only in the expensive version, make a regular version with such a possibility. Second and very important, make the Bluetooth keyboard connected and the ability to turn on the backlight. For many programs on Windows, you still need a keyboard when using hotkeys (Photoshop will not get rid of this in any way). And using the keyboard in front of the screen on which you draw is not very convenient, it is convenient to place the keyboard either on the side or behind the screen as in the HP ZBOOK G2 tablet. To make such a tablet and produce it en masse, taking over the apple market, which sells tablets, laptops and PCs separately. You have two in one. and you can use professional 3d programs and games. The manufacturer has different configurations as you are producing now and so that you can increase the memory by changing from adding an SSD, you need to be able to put a lot of memory.
Love at first glance, just what I'm looking for. . . . .buut, that's a bit too high of a price, even for someone who have been drawing almost every single day in their life. Defelutley gonna remeber it tough.
Pretty cool review! 🙏 And I don’t recommend this, but out of curiosity what if someone were to erase windows and install Linux on it. Will that ruin the experience when creating artwork completely, or will it just prevent alot of problems windows has, or will it improve overall?
from what i've researched a couple of years ago, linux didn't do well with drawing programs sadly enough. i wanted to swap OS myself due to not liking MS's decisions with their OS, but it seems that setting up virtual stuff from linux to have a small windows part running for drawing programs creates massive lag time between the tablet driver and the program mind you, this is information from a few years ago, so you might have to do a bit of a deeper dive yourself to figure out whether it works nowadays
In general, there is no sense in such tablets at all now. You buy an iPad or Samsung tablet with a stylus, and using Space Disk programs or analogs of such programs, connect the tablet to the computer via a tupC wire and draw like a computer in Photoshop or do sculpting in a blender. When you need a graphic tablet, when you need a mobile tablet.
asus will charge you to ship their faulty equipment to them for warranty repair and send the malfunctioned item back and tell you nothing is wrong with it.
Who in their right f'in mind at asus decide to put the cable ports on where the dials are/where your left hand usually resting on the table? what a stupid design, just looking at it gives me carpal tunnel syndrome. nice.
GREAT REVIEW LOOKING FORWARD TO THE COURSE......WHY WOULD I SPEND THAT MUCH MONEY FOR A PIGGYBACK DEVICE.....THESE COMPANIES DONT KNOW WHAT PEOPLE WANT. WE WANT STANDALONE PORTABILITY. THE IPAD IS KING. ATLEAST TRY TO RIVAL THE IPAD. WE ARE NOT ALL PROFESSIONALS WHO SIT AND DRAW FOR A LIVING. SOME OF US WANT TO DRAW WHILE ON LUNCH AT OUR REGULAR JOBS OR OUT AND ABOUT.
its prob saving you anyways. there are way cheaper 16in tablets u can get from huion and xp pen that offer the same features as this tablet which is 900 dollars...
Where does it say you can’t use it as extended monitor? It’s a portable monitor which means it should be able to used as one or it defeats the point of having it.
Ergo seems pretty well-off, he might not consider the price so important. It's best to mention that near the start of the video -- but also, it might be for watch time. If you hear that price tag you might just click off. Maybe I'm being cynical.
bro i checked the price thinking it would a good price but 1k for it ............ I'm dead
Lmfao just buy an iPad pro at that point

Thanks for the review on that ASUS! Hope you are enjoying your Sennheiser MKH416 mic too! It's a great sounding mic.

Thing is the new cintiq pro 17 is not mobile at all… it needs a power supply to work. While this one is portable and versatile

Not at all! only the button was annoying
I have a decision in front of me, help me to decide. Surface studio or this ??
this one has too much lag.
did you change mics???
Pencil extender?

This is just a display tablet with pen support, not a PC tablet.

I'd argue anyone buying a $900 pen display is already working on a modern machine with a few USB-C ports, if not only USB-C ports.
Ergo is Back!
What happened to your voice though?
wow interesting

Ok... Why would I buy this underwhelming device over an iPad at this price???
Dude its absolutely insane, you can get the same thing +laminated +cable isnt near the shortcut buttons for like €300
Ugh, no Mac support. Would've been an insta buy otherwise.. Come on ASUS.
More often then not, it's Apple that makes integration difficult

€900 for a 16 inch 60Hz non laminated tablet?? Wacom is really taking their own part from this huh
Nice, it costs 1600 USD in Ukraine. Gotta think twice before really buying it…😢
Well, looks laggy in your video, like cursor lagging behind a pen.
cool device but to expensive

Waste of 900$
Why casually mention the $900 price tag at the end? I hate when reviews do shit like that.

Well, you do get to sell the tablet after. So, yes, it is paid
