As a college student and who experienced K-12 wayback 2017-2019. For me, it serves it purpose as a preparation to look for the courses that will suits to their skills, so instead of requesting to remove it. We should speak for improvement of facilities, therefore we could learn effectively.

Or makakapagtrabaho nalang sila after grumaduate?

@@jetagha5140 WE NEED TO ABOLISH K-12, why? Because it is just prolonging students of not being EMPLOYED. And besides, students from k-12 learned nothing.. learned nothing new.. it's just the same learning system that we had before, no improvements or whatsoever, K-12 is just prolonging students of not getting a JOB. K-12 is a bulllshit and can be a tactic by government of their "PALPAK" na pamamalakad in terms of EMPLOYMENT. WHAT THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD DO IS TO INCREASE NEW INVESTORS, TO CREATE MORE JOBS so people can work no matter what their age is except underaged people. @@bogartcommander6566 Kuya, yes that's the point of K12. Not everyone wants to go to college. So K12 offers Technical Vocational Strand that provides NC2 certification once gradduate ka na after 2 years and you can work.
It means our world progresses. Progress means new learning. 1. Ung Facility sobrang bagsak. Wala man lang computer library, walang projector, lack of books & ung CR parang tapunan na. Hindi Priority ng LGU.
      2. May Incompetent na Prof and namemera.
Hahasain lang talaga but sad walang paki ung school.

K-12 is a good opportunity for other people na undecided padin sa course na gusto nila for college and it's good din for people na patong patong ang pressure na nararamdaman para sa college because di parin nila alam yung gusto nila. And K-12 really helps us para mas maenhance ang skills and mas mapaghandaan ang college life. Sa mga nagsasabi na naging successful sila without K-12 then congratulations for all of you but please don't invalidate other students fears and worries also their feelings just because nakaya nyo without k-12.

As a former student who became part of the first batch in K-12 curriculum and recently graduated from college last 1st of June, removing this wouldn't be a great idea. K-12 may be an extra luggage in every parents' pocket but these 2 years still helped me during my college and strengthened my core in the field of medical science. I was a former STEM student and those subjects I had in my 11th and 12th grade did help me in my 1st and 2nd year (like a refresher subject in preparation for the field you want to enroll for college). I know some parents wanted to remove it due to financial matters but the government should find a way in solving this, which is why in the first place there are vouchers. I hope the financial problems of parents due to the K-12 program will be given a solution. Parents should understand that some places (even countries) won't allow students who are not senior high graduates. But at the same time there should be companies who should reconsider having senior high graduates, as long as it is suitable to them.

I had a lot of friends and former colleagues in certain countries who applied for work but have to study a year or two first because of the lack of units in our education system compared to the country they applied to. Though it will be hard for some of the families that they have to sustain 2 more years, I believe it will pay off at the end. Students of the K-12 program will be up par with the standards of other countries, especially the western countries.

Hindi naman sia pahirap sa local Filipinos, it’s a matter of strategy and cooperation, nakasanayan lang kasi natin ung 6 years elementary- 4 years Highschool- at 4 years college, pero if this was really implemented bago pa, Hindi na sana Mahirap ipaintindi sa mga kababayan ung ganitong educational set up.

@Mark Barbosa dagdag gastos? Wlang kasiguruhan matanggap sa trabaho after graduating from k-12?
The probability becomes less na matanggap sa trabaho without k-12. Facts are:
      1. Typical highschool graduates are 16 - minor (please check labor code).
      2. Lacks skill
      3. Companies accept college degree holders (some companies accept college undergraduates given the applicants have the necessary skills)
      4. Most parents don't have the money to send their kids to college.
      5. Many more that I can't list...
K-12 give youth more skills and knowledge. It is with each individual if he/she wants to learn and grow. WE ARE ACCOUNTABLE FOR OUR OWN LIVES. Personally, no matter how old we are, we should not stop learning. We should take time to take a deep breath, read, learn and FOCUS

I think it's best to improve, change, add subjects that is really helpful and useful, why not remove minor subjects that are not important/useful and provide better curriculum especially on college curriculum. Pagtungtong kasi ng college yung mga subjects sa K-12 yun parin yung most subjects for 1-2 years on college. Why not add subject to all levels of students in high school and college about trading its so nice seeing most Filipinos know how to trade it can also help our economy.

If people have better education, they will have enough power and knowledge to oppose/rebel, they can determine easily if leaders are doing wrong.. People aren't cows but treat them like cows, this is how big people think even on business.

One difference is that K-12 gave us time to mature before going to college. That's what my bio professor told us when she noticed na mas mature na daw kami compared to her previous classes in the past decades. Please, send your kids to a public school for K-12 and avoid expensive crap before college. It lessens the costs.
Clarification: kinder to college, public school pa rin ako. My family recognizes that we're poor at di kami tryhards na nakikisabay sa rich kahit wala kaming pera. Basic complete education lang ang priority so that we could find a decent and stable job. Even that is not a guarantee to a successful future, but at the very least it opens doors for more opportunities.

These laboratory school indeed help us in the course we pursue in college. We don't need another 2years as preparation, the k12 because it is a redundant already for the students. There are preparatory for kids, then elementary of six years, high school is 4years. It is really enough preparations for college.

First, we wanted to be globally competitive, need natin makisabay sa educational system in global perspective. 2nd,it serves the purpose to help students to assess themselves whether on what track or strand they belong. Instead of removing this program, why not refine or review subjects in higher education. My observation is my mga subjects in college na hnd na dapat i-offer kasi partly plated na sa SHS. Why not focused on the competencies na kelangan ng mga student to hone their knowledge in their chosen profession. I understand that minor subjects are still important but take note, there were subjects na sa tingin ko hindi na dapat i-offered pa. K-12 is very helpful for us to elevate our education by removing the old system and accepting the proven and effective curriculum as well as to compete with other nations. Moreover, for me, the implementation of the K-12 curriculum failed many schools for the lack of support from parents and school preparedness for the change. Instead of complaining at least, we must support, adapt and improve it the way it was before. I will be very disappointed for our leaders if they remove it and we experience trial and error as the first batch of the K-12.

My expectation is tipong college level na ang teachers, well versed sa subject (e.g. business ad), pero sa observation ko sa kapatid ko parang HS level lang yung teachers,. Syempre sayang yung 2 more years tapos hindi pa din at-par yung tinuturo. Hopefully it will help my bro sa college. Else, nagsayang lang sya ng 2yrs.

As an educator, removing K-12 is a very bad idea. The purpose of K-12 is in order for our education system to catch up with other emerging countries. We want our students to be globally competitive. Students usually realize their strength and advantage during their SHS journey. The solution to fix our educational system are: full support to our educators, more classrooms, better school equipments and facilities, investment in science and technology, enhanced school curriculum (that is always in line with 21st century education), etc.

I can really say that the pandemic really fucked up the education system per se. As a 4th batch of K-12 Graduate who experienced a year of F2F and a year of Modular/Online Class, it really helped me in assessing myself on the capabilities that I can nurture. On the same note, Covid put a struggle on my education as mental health issue starts to prevail on me and personally, I learned when there is an actual interaction with an instructor. But as a whole, K-12 program was such a helpful experience for me so that I can evaluate my choices and decision in college. Right now, I am an incoming 2nd year Accountancy student.
Economically speaking, I understand the point of the mass as education really is an investment. I really hope that the next administration would invest in the facilities and integrate more programs so that the learning environment will be a more interactive to the learners.
