I've aways thought his was a talent wasted on those dead-beats.
I'm sure he posed a real-time translational problem.
Specimen ear feed: "The Hannan guy is saying the Brown guy is not so good ... double-plus ungood ... maybe even bad ... yadayada .. something about boats? Das Boot? Everyone knows, yes. "

He's nowhere near becoming Prime Minister, besides he's rather supportive of our new PM, Theresa May.

He's far too eloquent and persuasive for #Brexitt, ergo gets very little airtime from the UK mainstream media. He's also disliked by Cameron who sees him as a major threat from the right of the Tory party. Hence why he won't find himself on any Conservative candidate lists for Westminster elections - it'd be like Caesar helping Brutus get a seat in the forum (albeit that analogy flatters Cameron and insults Hannan!)

I cannot get enough of this clip. So well put, so logical, and such an applicable speech. It should be given to most politicians of the day. "It's that you're carrying on willfully worsening our situation; wantonly spending what little we have left." "You cannot carry on forever squeezing the productive bit of the economy in order to fun an unprecedented engorgement of the unproductive bit." And done without a teleprompter.

American supporter here. We have our own man, Ron Paul, who is a lone whistleblower for government overreach and deficit spending. After learning about voluntarism, anarcho-capitalism, liberty, free-markets, etc I can no longer support the idea that complex social problems can be solved just by "voting for the leader who promises to give us the most stuff". It's illogical. A gov't powerful enough to give you everything you want is powerful enough to take everything you have.

Makes me sick to see Brown grinning like a boxer in a vain attempt to show that the punches weren't hurting him; and then pretending to write on a scrap of paper to distract his extreme discomfort at the truth bombs. Blair did the same when he had earlier visited the European Parliament and Nigel Farage bitch-slapped him in a similar fashion.

  • @NoToPCBS

Just a thought... Given that this is a major decision witch will have far reaching, long term consequences and that everyone seems equally divided I am calling for the Queen of England to make a public broadcast outlining her thoughts. The reason I think this is a good idea is that the queen is privy to information we are not and she has seen many many Prime Ministers come and go. If anyone has an invested interest in keeping Britain great I would have thought it would be the Queen.

I heard Daniel Hannan at a meeting in New Zealand , where he is visiting family .
He is in touch with people's needs collectively & individually . He has correctly identified the real agenda for world government by many behind the climate change debate . He clearly supports more direct democracy such as CIR.
He was misinformed about New Zealand's population - he thought it was only 3 million , when it is over 4 million . Otherwise , he was excellently informed .

I am from Slovakia and I am amazed by the rhetorical skill of the British politicians. Do they prepare their speeches and learn them by heart? They are brisk, they are lively, they are well-structured and have a point. When a Slovakian politician starts to speak, get yourself a cushion, because you are going to be asleep in a twinkling of an eye.

Greetings from America. Stop paying anything to any government. No taxes, no tickets or parking citations. Every state exists because the people collectively create it.

Mr Hannan is right. Increased spending and borrowing during a recession will kill the recovery. Huge cuts in public spending are necessary in order to secure the recovery. Leaving the EU alone will cut billions of pounds off of government expenditure; we must also think about abolishing Trident and replacing it with something cheaper. Quangos and non-jobs must be cut, as well as the size of parliament.

I would support a two tier health care system, a public system and a private system. That being said, I think there is something legit about gov health care. It really helped me when I was injured and unemployed, I went to the hospital for a dislocated knee, and it only cost me $300. If we did not have subsidized health care you can bet it would have cost me more.
I don't agree with every single thing hannan says just 95%..far more than any other politician I'm aware of!!!

  • @Edithae
    @Edithae 14 ปีที่แล้ว

We only had a 65% turnout. Of those who did vote, roughly 55% voted for either the Tories or the Lib Dems; 27% for Labour and the rest for minor parties. Now we have a Tory-LibDem government. There were no wasted votes in this election, except for the votes of conservatives, because all three major parties in the UK are left wing to varying degrees.

  • @jiros00

  • @totallytempo

You are right to say #5 is not entirely the EU's fault. It would be absurd to hold the EU accountable for what Barack Obama has done in the tire market this month for example by raising tariffs. However I will charge that the EU has done little to improve the situation in many areas especially in regards to policy #2. Aside from North Korean collective farms, I cannot think of a more unfair, protectionist, and indeed interventionist policy.
