Timothy Olyphant once said on the podcast that his son described Walton Goggins as having a Hobbit-sounding name, and that when he'd leave for work his son would say, "Tell Walton Goggins to throw the ring into Mount Doom." So, cheers to Henry Olyphant, because I literally cannot un-hear that now. The fact that Walton Goggins likes to drink and tell stories just reinforces the theory.
I feel like Mr Goggins is one of those excellent actors who you recognize from everything because he always crushes it, but you never expect to see him. Lovely guy and this was a really fun interview
I had a hard time recognizing him. Like I enjoyed a lot of his work but I didn't realize it was him in half of them because he just melds into the character so well.
Walton Goggins is one of those actors that always stood out even when he was just in small parts. Before he started to breakout, I remember just liking him even in the smallest parts.
I think I first saw him in House of 1000 Corpses as the cocky younger cop partner, and you're absolutely right--he stands out no matter what role he's in.

Without a doubt, been to Thailand twice. Most generous, kind, permissive, and helpful people on the planet, you generally wont need to know how far the helpfulness goes and I hope you never do, but believe me it goes extremely far. I imagine its cultural and also comes from Zen Buddhism, being a good steward and helping others relieve suffering.
Zen Buddhism is not a big thing in Thailand. Thailand is a Therevada Buddhist Country. While some Chan buddhist (same thing, originated in China) temples exists people and people do go to them, but they actually don't understand or study much of it. For it's just a practice for Thai-Chinese to go and those people still go to Therevada Temples. But yes Thai people do generally believe in Karma, and in most cases in a very superstitious way, which is more likely to contribute to your anecdotal action. But the joke is also Thai people smile and nod alot to foreigners because they don't understand them.
What I wouldn't give to be friends with Walton. He's just the most charming, charismatic person. Such a delight to listen to him talk about basically anything.
There needs to be a show with Walton and Tracy Scoggins so we can finally have a "Goggins and Scoggins" show. Conan, please take this idea and run with it.
Yeah, ... Thailand is awesome. Love that country, too. The people are great, very sweet. And the cuisine, ... don't even get me started on the cuisine 🤤🤤🤤...
My husband always asks for the strongest local drink wherever we travel. He hasn’t found anything stronger than Slivovica, from his native homeland of Slovakia.
My wife and I decided long ago that we should start saying "yes" more (within reason) while on vacation. It has led to more unique and fun adventures off the beaten path.
So excited they got Walton Goggins on! I really hope Conan brings up the clueless gamer he did on Fallout 4. Bley forced him to wear a vault jumpsuit and Conan clearly thought it was the dumbest thing ever, so I'm so curious what his thoughts are now that a hugely successful TV show was made about the Fallout universe and the main character wears the exact same jumpsuit!

Through coups and cultures, laughs abound, In every corner, joy is found. With open heart and curious mind, Conan’s journey, one of a kind.
I can tell by lookin’ at um…The reason these guys lingered on the hug so long, discussing musculature etc, is because Walton is just Conan’s own skeleton, walking around Hollywood, getting tan outside of it’s big ol’ deadly white frame… they are simply trying to reconnect.
Reminds me of rakia, aka Bulgarian schnapps. Like 200 proof. Not the most awesome way to meet your girlfriend’s parents, but it worked out (at the time) 😅
During his late night years, the Tarja Halonen era, he jokingly mentioned staying in Sundsvall and sleeping inside the dead body of reindeer before traveling forward to Finland.
