That is a beautiful collection of different Iranian accents from different tribes ( Mazandarani and guilani - who lives in North part of Iran and South part of Caspian sea- turk , baloch, Kurdish and more ) from " Rastaak " group ...and due to this , they use different music instruments...

Rastaak is a treasure. They keep traditional music of different parts of Iran alive.
Tim and Vena thank you very much for sharing your reaction. This song is a combination of folkloric music from different parts of Iran. Iran is a multicultural country with considerable cultural diversity and each has its own cuisine and music.
This song is performed for New Iranian Year (Nowruz, first day of spring), it starts with
Sorna (looks like a trumpet but much smaller) and Duhol (large drum hit by stick) which were traditionally used to announce the arrival of the new year by circling cities and villages (remember we are talking about the ancient era when there were no radio or television).
This sublime piece constitutes folkloric songs from 6 regions of Iran and at least 5 more dialects are not covered in this video. The following is the breakdown of songs based on their timing on the clip.
1- 1:00 - 3:20 Persian Song from a big portion of Iran from north-central to south-central of Iran.
2- 3:20 - 4:45 Mazandarani Song from North of Iran East of Caspian seashores.
3- 4:45 - 7:40 Azerbaijani Song from Northwest of Iran.
4- 7:40 - 9:40 Balochi Song from Sistan and Balochistan in the southeast of Iran.
5- 9:40 - 10:40 Gilaki Song from North of Iran west of Caspian seashores.
6- 10:40 - 12 Kurdish Song from west of Iran.
All songs are about the new year, spring, and the beauty of nature. Persian is the official language of Iran that all Iranians can speak and understand but Persians (about 55-60% of Iranians) can not understand any of the aforementioned dialects that all except Azerbaijani -- which is Turkic -- are dialects of Iranian languages but are not intelligible among themselves. But we all can enjoy the rhythms and the feelings expressed by each one of them. We all dance to these rhythms without understanding the lyrics of some of them. 😆😆

Iran consists of people from different tribes like Lors , Kurds , Arabs , Baluchs , Gilaks , Turks and ... and they all have they own accents. This song says happy new year in all those accents.

The clarinet thing is Sorna/Zurna (like the name of the medley). I clicked this video for the reactions to 9:41 mostly. Vena's reaction is exactly what I hoped for! We love call & response games with music, like so many other cultures in the world. And Tim's reaction to the Turkish song was so natural. He started swaying automatically, and in perfect time with the beat.
