- FREE TO RUN - a mission to tell the stories of women using sport to transform the world around them.
After completing the TOR330 race four times, Stephanie Case’s next goal in sight was the TOR450, all while working behind the scenes to organize an all-women expedition in Afghanistan with Free to Run. These women include Zeinab and Zahra, who represent not only Free to Run’s ethos but the spirit of many other women in Afghanistan who believe in education and progress. Captured by the lenses of Dream Lens Media, this is a truly unique moment in history documenting Stephanie’s unshakeable strength and incredible belief in the power of the women around her.
Casually breaking the women's record by 30 hours while sharing an important message with the world. Brava Stephanie!
❤️ thank you!! I chuckled at the word “casually” 😝
Stephanie is one of those people who are capable of showing us the beauty of our existance as humans. The world would need more Stepahnies. Thank you for all your hard work.
Hands down one of the best North Face films to date. Exceptional.
That's super kind of you to say! I am lucky to have The North Face behind the project.
I am reminded of how lucky and privileged I am to be able to walk out of my house, go for a run, and feel safe.
I think this all the time. Just the outfit I run in would be a death sentence in some countries!
This was extremely inspiring and heartbreaking at the same time. Stephanie, your spirit is unstoppable. This is what humanity looks like. North Face was so fortunate to be able to bring this story to the world.
I’m grateful for The North Face’s support to this unique project!
Beautiful example. Here 🇧🇷 we have great women like Stephanie. Congratulations!!!!
This film deeply touched me and brought tears to my eyes. It showcased what humans are capable of.
I can't imagine not cracking under only one 10th of similar conditions.
Thanks from the bottom of my heart to you Stephanie and all the girls, you're truly rolemodels for women aswell as men!
I'm starting to work as a social worker soon and this gave me an extra boost and validation in my decision to change my profession.
All the best!
Social work is so needed and important. Remember to take care of yourself while you are helping everyone else! ❤️ I’m really pleased that the movie had an impact - thank you for watching and for the journey you are embarking on.
I can't remember when having spent 30 minutes with more value than watching this unique and inspiring documentary about both Stephanie Case and FREE TO RUN.
As a former ultrarunner your performance is leaving me breathless, your wonderful projects in Afghanistan and Iraq are even more remarkable and making you an irreplaceable person regarding human and womens rights.
Wow, thank you so much for your incredibly kind comment. I’m grateful to the filmmakers for their work and glad if it moved you! ❤️
And once an ultra runner, always an ultra runner 😊
What incredible woman and human being!
Incredible. Your work is 1000000% net positive, Stephanie Case. Inspiring, humbling.
Thanks for your support, Julie!
Never for a minute think that you did any wrong (just seeing this video now) - it falls to those who enslave and intimidate who are doing the wrongs.@@StephanieCaseRunner
Thank you North Face for making this film happen. So inspiring.
Freedom is such a beautiful thing that anyone in the West should be continously grateful for..
What an amazing accomplishment Stephanie, both in completing and coming 3rd in such an extremely tough race and in supporting the Afghan women and girls, Much respect to you and all involved with this beautiful project, you are a fine example to us all :)
❤️I’m inspired by the women in this film and all those whose faces can’t be shown.
@@StephanieCaseRunner I love that you run for these courageous women and that you run for you, running as we know is so liberating, its a constant in this world that never lets us down when all else fails us 💚
Documentary filmmaking at its best! A heartbreaking AND heartwarming story about a brave and strong woman fighting for human rights. Brava Stephanie!!! I'm going to donate and share.
Thank you so much!!! ❤️ We are fundraising right now for our new program in Afghanistan called Omid (hope in Dari) 💫
Such a powerful message, Stephanie. Heartbreaking but you give hope to so many women globally. Thank you.
Thank you for watching and for your support ❤
As an Iranian woman, a runner, I look at this and I see pure strength and power. I see all South Asian women as that, powerful, miraculous. Our struggle is the same, and I long to see peace in our lands.
Speechless. What amazing women. Best 30 minutes. Everyone should watch. Keep going!
Just a incredible story this needs more exposure, very inspiring thanks to Stephanie and all involved in putting this together

"Everyone has a purpose. If you know what your purpose is early on, then you have to follow it."
I loved this film so much! Very eye opening and inspiring! Stephanie is doing some amazing, life altering work for women. And the women are so incredibly brave! We take so much for granted in the U.S. Thank you for sharing this!!
awesome video!!
Awesome, what a tough lady Stephanie is. keep going 👍🙏. hope she running UTMB.
I did UTMB in 2012 and 2013, but don't think I will again. It is a fantastic race, but quite large - I prefer racing in smaller crowds and immersing myself a bit more in nature!
So Inspirational !!! Thank you for sharing this amazing story of these womens strength & tenacity Thru Unbelievable hardship & insecurities
Women are capable of so much more
& it is Thru the example of each other that we find the courage to continue on
Cheers to you & all who made this possible

Stephanie is such an amazing example. The type of runner we need more in our sport.

Great film.
So glad you liked it!
You go girl!
Incredible.
Bravo Miss.
Magnifique!
Wow what extraordinary women. To see the Afghan women in the streets marching for their rights was so powerful. The bravery these women have. I am humbled. My hearts breaks for that country now ravaged again by utterly evil weak stupid men.
Amazing
You are an amazing SOUL
I'm lucky to be surrounded by some pretty incredible people!❤

The fact that my country invaded Afghanistan hurts my heart
Taliban is horrible but then why it has so much support in afganistan...? Afganistan had their own armed forces that had far less support, so they pretty much immediatly gave up / lost to taliban.. So sad, but majority of afghans want things that way. Current way of human rights means that we cannot stop that kind of evil in any hard methods and soft ones don't work..
Maybe the majority of Afgan MEN like the old ways, but I'm sure that if you could do a secure, secret poll where women were free from retribution, most women would say they wish their daughters had more opportunities than they themselves have had. Sadly, we've seen what happens to women who try to voice their opinions in an ultra conservative country run by the Taliban etc.
