I just discovered your mod, and Bethesda just needs to hire you and pay you tons of money! This is beyond incredible, I am slack jawed and catching flies right now. The amount of detail and function is staggering. I am so thankful that we have people like you and the community that helped add content to this, you are truly elevating the game to a whole other level.
This series of mods for FO4 is awesome. I love having the ability to assign a plan to a settlement and have it grow but also choose so many different plots. You guys deserve some sort of monetary reward for all your work.
oil pump doesn't make much sense in fallout setting though. the titular war than never changes was fought over last oil field because most of them ran dry so it feels kinda unimmersive to just stick it wherever and start pumping black gold
At around 6:00 you talk about when the plot is elegible for upgrade, it starts producing double resources. It that really correct? From my testing, it does not. It just places all it produces in the workshop, not spliting it between stockpile and workshop. So the production doesn't really change, it just places it in a different 'container'.
You are correct, but it will no longer ever consume them. Before that point, its generating half of the resources with the intention of destroying them towards the upgrade.
What's the difference between normal and advanced industrial plots? Edit: Also to discover new options do I have to have all my industrial plots in one settlements to discover new ones, or do I just need to say have one of each in each settlement and discover them through experimentation across settlements
Quick question does the settlers upgrade themselves as far as clothing and gear or does the player still have to give them weapons and clothing and armor
@@kinggath I'm reloading game after downloading and installing sim.. seems I had a conflict with other mods but.. I'm excited to see all the new toys ...u have created for us ..
No - we added a feature where you can swap the plots dynamically. Since Advanced Industrial is meant for later game, that seemed to make more sense. I will add that the feature is currently buggy but will be fixed for the 4.0.5 patch next week. To use the feature, activate the sensor and choose Customize Plot, one of the options is Change Plot Type.
@@kinggath So its recomended making manual adv industries when i reach lvl 3 of city plans. Becouse if one u have adv i, u get resourses but less happyness. So its harder to upgrade the settlements. I am right?
Donate caps at the Supply safe in the City Planner's desk as a stop gap, then you'll need to reduce the amount of power and defense at the settlement until the plot levels are up high enough to generate enough revenue to pay for them. Alternatively, if you find the Maintenance System maddening - it can be turned off.
I don't think so. Not every single ounce of oil would have been drilled before the war got out of hand. If a small pool existed, it wouldn't be worth drilling to try and fill a global need, but at the end of the world when a little goes a long way, it suddenly becomes worth digging for.
That's a good point, but there seems to be a theory that states oil is generated deep within the Earth, not related to former biological material: abiotic oil theory. If this is true, oil regenerates at a slow rate, and considering it's been around a couple hundred years since massive oil consumption, there should be more than enough for society to get back up and running. What's fascinating is that, in the Fallout world, they may have a much higher chance at a successful survival since microfusion exists already, leaving oil for medicines, chemicals/lubricants and polymers. Interesting to think about.
I keep asking him to add custom structures for power generation. Coal, fusion, atomic, solar, etc. And would be nice if I can keep one type to be thematic. For example, solar doesn't generate too much power, but an advance will generate enough to sustain one settlement. Like make Sushine Tidings a "hippie/green" community, with solar and a lot of crops. But ppl are like "there are other mods to do that, duh!". Seriously, which mod? I prefer that would be an "official" SimSettlement mod. ; )
@@Shaidon7 Check out JTBryant's Utilities: Advanced Industrial plots including a power tree, going from battery banks, through wind generation, to solar, or methane, or oil power.
Hey Kinggath has anyone found the cause of the crashing when trying to return to Red Rocket and Sanctuary seems like the only way I've been able to fix it is starting over new every time it starts crashing, Also I sent a Friend request to ya on 76 my user name on there is mastemalice
Can't remember how the issue exactly went however I heard something about Abernathy Farm, Red Rocket and Sanctuary causing some issues since the cities are right next to each other however I can't remember why so please search online on the Sim Settlements forum.
Using RR and Sanctuary City Plans at the same time is not advised - the game engine will have to load both simultaneously, and it can't handle that on every machine. The same goes for Abernathy Farms, as all 3 are clustered together. Best practice is to choose one of those 3 to use a CP on, and avoid them on the other 2.
kinggath I remember my first time messing around with it, I used all three cp's, bad idea I know haha, though I was on the regular xbone (now an x, maybe I can push it?) I was wondering which one of those three would you personally recommend using, thinking sanctuary just because it's the biggest though I'd like to hear your opinion
@@orlandoflores5805 For Xbox, I like the Red Rocket build best, as it makes a lot of sense thematically and shouldn't push your system to hard. I really love the Sanctuary design, but it can be brutal on an Xbox.
I downloaded the 3-in-1 of the Sim Settlements, but the advanced plots do not appear in the line of plots. Do you need a lvl 3 settlement or toggle something specific?

The way I hear this while watching your tutorials... ASAM is actually G.E.C.K.!

No, we lack access to the coding functions needed to do that effectively.

Is settlers able to be assigned to 2 plots at once I assigned 1 to a scrapyard and 2 just got built I never got more settlers either
With a city plan being built do I still have the option to choose between these industrial upgrade paths individually from plot to plot?
Tried the 3 in 1 mod, can select it in mods but it turns itself off, tried turning off every other mod but cant seem to get it to run *shrug*
How do I scrap items
Can SS Conqueror get some explanation or tutorials? Just asking. Thanks for everything.

Industrial Revolution is part of Sim Settlements 3-in-1.
You don't really *have to* dowload it if you don't want to, but it's an 'expansion' to the base Sim Settlements mod.
wish there was a Plot that builds Power plant + max lvl Nuke Power !
