I had to transfer about 3 months into freshman year bc I had a mental breakdown. Prioritizing your happiness and health makes life a million times better. Ik it seems like you may be falling behind but everybody is at different stages in life and there’s no need to rush. There’s no time limit to living life :)

I’m sorry if this is overstepping but i’m so proud of you for having the courage to transfer. it’s such a scary thing to do but taking that step for yourself is so brave and I know that it will all work out how it’s supposed to. I considered transferring at the end of my freshman year because i was not super happy where i was but ultimately decided against it out of fear of potentially regretting it. luckily it worked out for me because im in my junior year now and im doing a lot better but I definitely still wonder from time to time if it would have been better if i had transferred. That being said, I think that it’s one of those choices where regardless of what decision you make, you’ll wonder how the other decision could have gone so just push through the doubt for a bit until you adjust to the change a bit because that will make it a lot easier to see the difference for what it is. Good luck this semester, hopefully things go better than you expect
seeing you talk about transferring schools is nothing to be ashamed of and rather proud of for prioritizing one self! i’m actually transferring to a different school my spring semester, so it’s comforting to hear other people share the same experience i’m going through🤍

As someone who's in their senior year rn at an arts college in New York, where my freshman year I had to go through foundation year and take classes not related to my major at all, trust me when I say that it does improve! It won't be picture perfect, but you'll get into the swing of things, and it definitely is what you make of it. Stick with what you're passionate about and things will work out! Maybe not in the way you expected, but it will, promise

I’m from New York City born and raised and recently graduated from Baruch.. and I was also a transfer (from a school upstate back to nyc) and it was HARD. Starting over was also HARD. BUT trust and believe you’ve freaking got this.
I am in my second year of college currently also! I live in New York ~ I absolutely despise two of my classes especially one of them but they're both for my gen eds. My school has kind of a lot of gen eds :( my other two classes are ok they're for my major and they do require lots of work so it can be very exhausting at times. It's a new school year, stay optimistic! While things may seem rough right now, Im sure they will work themselves out! best of luck to you!!

Transferring to a new school is always smth that gives me a mini panick attack, cus i will be gone from all my old friends. But the idea of a new and fresh start always makes me feel more hopeful. Seeing others going thru situations at least a little similar to mine is always the best 🥹 ty for going out and living my dreams /pos 🫶
