Fellow milspouse trying to figure out the base housing situation also! Haha. Currently in an apartment off base in CA and trying to move on base for a 3/2 house with a yard for our pup! Thank you for reminding me to focus on the good things in where we are! The initial transition to a new state or new house makes me nervous also but it’s so true, when we set up our home and focus on what we like about where we are, we feel more connected and “settled”
Everything is looking so cozy! Maybe on the blank wall in the kitchen you could add a mirror to make the space feel bigger, it would reflect the light from the window and your art from the other side. Also, I think curtains would totally make everything feel cohesive in that space!

I was wondering, how do you look into the neighborhoods and reviews when pcs’ing ? My guy is in bmt so we have a ways to go, but I’m trying to learn as much as I can to be prepared (I know these processes can take a while). All love and blessings to you both! ❤

So once we know where we’re going, I search on Facebook for groups dedicated to spouses or military families on whatever military base we’re moving to. So for example, I searched “Quantico military spouses” when we were moving to Quantico and there were several groups available! I joined them and saw others talk about the various neighborhoods available and I was even able to get reviews/experiences from everyone currently living there! Just be careful joining groups! Don’t share too much information - there’s no way to be 100% secure online. And take everything shared with some caution. There’s good and bad reviews for every single location! Don’t let it spook you 😊
