    If you own a U.S. model Ryker or Ryker Rally, one of the things you may have noticed on your bike is that the parking brake does not have a lock, yet it appears that the plastic is marked for one. This is because on international Ryker's the lock was required and here in the U.S. it was not. This leaves U.S. Ryker owners with a bit of a problem. Anybody walking by can simply flip your parking brake off sending your beloved Ryker barreling down the road. We felt this issue needed to be addressed immediately so we sourced the OE lock for our U.S. customers. This product includes 2 keys and stainless steel hardware to mount your Ryker Parking Brake Lock into place.

    Glad you made a video. Directions sent with the lock were way more complicated than the video.

    Why didn't BRP have this locking system on the Rykers to begin with??? This is an important component.

    I ordered one last week. I put it on over the weekend. It took less then 10 minutes. I also, made a video on it and its defiantly worth the price.

      It should be included from the factory; no excuses, you frog assholes!

    I really hope BRP changes this for the 2020 US Rykers. I really don't understand why they didn't include this lock on the US models. At least the mod is easy to do. Great video.

    Looked into this and the "no drill" option both, this way looks WAY simpler and hassle-free.

    So is the upcoming glove box lock going to go in as easily? Also, any way to get they keyed in the same core?

    • @Slingmods
      @Slingmods  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Mitoni, we will be doing a video on the installation of the new "glove box" lock here in the next week or so. The parking brake lock and glove box lock are from two different suppliers and unfortunately not available with keys that will work for both locks. That would be awesome though. We do however have plans to make a "keyless" glove box lock in the upcoming months that will use a push button key fob to unlock the glove box. Thanks.

      Lol. Hopefully the video makes it easy for you. The hardest part is drilling the hole for the lock. Take your time with that part.

    I have a question , whether due to the dysfunctions of the right leg is the possibility of transferring the brake control to the lever mounted on the steering wheel or transferring the lever to the left side of the Ryker?

    • @Slingmods
      @Slingmods  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello Ryszard, there is a company called ISCI that has done what you're asking for the Can-am Spyder. I'd give them a shot. thanks!

    I'm looking into getting a 900 Ryker in a month or so. What's the main go to accessories for a new ryker?

    • @Slingmods
      @Slingmods  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's awesome! All the Ryker accessories we offer are quite popular. It really depends on what you feel needs improvement on the bike. If i had to pick just a few for me personally.. i'd say our MadStad Windshield and Stereo are probably first on the list. Next would be our Pedal Commander & Floorboard Conversion Kit. Give us a ring when you get your bike and we'll be happy to go over any and all mods that interest you! Welcome to the Ryker Family!

    If non US models have the lock standard, why not have BRP pay for lock and its installation. If you buy a car from a different country (UK) and have it shipped the steering wheel is not on the right. The company doesn't have US buyers pay for the hardware and installation. Come on BRP
