This is such a hard watch. They are unqualified to be on television. Keep going Marianne, the people of America are with you even if MSNBC is not.

I agree. Marianne has been snubbed by the elite and the establishment since she walked onto the scene to bridge her community service with her politics. They realize she has more to offer to the position of DNC Chair than most people already doing the job. This threatens them.

      Exactly
Since the explosion of health and fitness in the 80’s one would think most people would know what the holistic model is !?

I think they asked her the questions she's going to need to answer if she wants to win the chair. Yes she has a revolutionary approach to politics, that encompasses the psychological and spiritual aspects which no one else does. But she also has to have a solid nuts and bolts plan as to how she's going to implement her vision within the system she's chosen to work in.

I see collaboration and communication with her as chair. She has what it takes to energize and create a new relationship with the Democrat voters. We need her skill set.

They kept asking her what specifics she is talking about and then would interrupt (even each other) when Marianne began to say something. The second half of the segment felt like they were stalling for time.

Marianne gives us HOPE, knows how to COMMUNICATE, she INSPIRES. She knows how to EMPOWER us. She knows how to help us HEAL!
No one else running for chair has this skill set.

I'm surprised that MSNBC allowed her to come on their network especially since they "black balled" every chance they could. I want her to win; however, the Democrats will never learn the correct lessons to win again. Fascism is here and to stay in the US.

When it comes to messaging, being heard means effectively framing the Democratic Party’s vision as well as that of their opponents. Using hashtags to frame a broader idea, whether it’s inspiring our allies or shaming our foes, can be a part of the branding. For Dems, we are led by #22ndCenturyThinking. I floated this to Marianne when I sat down with her at the Progressive Central gathering in Chicago in the week of our convention. Getting a handle on our climate crisis, restoring the integrity of our democracy, fighting wealth inequality, and respecting and valuing the individuality of everyone independent of their gender perception all can be expressed as part of living out that hashtag. As for Republicans, they are no longer conservative, they are #CORPservative. They act in servitude only to their corporate and billionaire donors, not their constituents. And they’ll soon be complicit to the complete abandonment of American democracy in favor of #RepubloFascism, a process that has been growing and evolving since Newt Gingrich became House Speaker.

I can not believe after all this time of Marianne Williamson being politically involved people are still questioning her like this. The disappointment in my soul is devastating to see this happen. This is one of the biggest female scandals in my lifetime being born in 1988. They talk to Marianne Williamson as if she didn't run for President twice. You don't even see influential woman who thrive on supporting women supporting Marianne Williamson. Some Democrats see what's going on here but most of them do not! I am not from wealth, I am not from religion, and not from extensive education yet I can see something that is most disturbing to my being! The reference of having an "old soul" has been the best compliment I've ever gotten!

    •  10 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

I wouldn't get too upset if I were you. Marianne proved she could handle a much-too-short interview with two people who challenged her to be more specific about her plans. I didn't see hostility in the male, but the female seemed more resistent -- not sure why. I could be wrong because the interview was SO SHORT and thus they had to talk fast! Because of this interview, Marianne will be more pinpoint focused the next time, as we learn each time we present our ideas. Dems need to become more grassroots focused, boots-on-the-ground. I would like it if they gave Marianne a try.

Marianne will make a great DNC Chair when she is elected and also because she truly cares.
Marianne, I only wish that they gave you more time to speak. You have a great message and remember that whole lot of people like and love you. Never forget that and don’t let them or anyone else try to diminish you or your worth to run.
You also ran for President twice and I was surprised that they did not mentioned that in the very beginning.
Keep going. You’ve got what it takes to get the job done. It’s all right there and in you.
It’s time for transformation and you are here for such a time as this and to help and to assist in moving the DNC forward.
It seemed that it got a little messy between the two anchors and is seemed like there was an attack on you and I as a viewer, did not like it and did not appreciate it.
They should be lifting up their guests and really be happy to have them on for interviews and and nothing less. Give guests a lot more air time. With that being said, you were excellent. Stay strong. You got this! 🇺🇸💙

Next time, Marianne, tell them in your charming manner, which one wants to conduct the interview, and which one wants to meet you in the parking lot for a one-on-one debate after the interview. Then when the debater wants to ask a question, tell them you are being interviewed, and you’ll debate later. Call them out immediately, and make them look shitty at their job. You did great, under the circumstances, and more than held your own.

We need a woman leader who brings a whole new collaborative approach. We want more transparent, HONEST, people-powered party. Many of us have told the Democratic Party what we want, and they refuse to listen to us. Let’s stop giving lip service to DEI, and squandering our power by criticizing the RNC, and be brave enough and forward thinking enough to try something new! Maryann is a breath of fresh air and she has the intellectual, political, and yes, spiritual gravitas to take on a job of such magnitude. Marianne nailed it, as always. The human element has not been a factor in our political processes, discussions and decision-making for so many decades, and I see why our politicians find the "emotional and psychological factors" elusive. There is only ONE reason why people/we do anything at all, and that is -- to change the way we feel. This is human nature 101. Period. So, of course, the emotional and psychological factors are necessary, as she indicated. While data is useful, no amount of data will move a human being to action unless and until he/she FEELS heard and seen. Unfortunately, Trump allegedly heard and saw the millions who gravitated into his sphere of influence. That's what the Democrats were supposed to do. The other thing is, mainstream media seriously needs to get this right and stop it with this woo-woo crazy lady nonsense.❣

"Your brand sucks and voters don't like you" ... Wow, what arrogance and condescension - who does Michael Steele think he is to speak for Americans?! Marianne Williamson won 3% of the votes in the 2024 Democratic Presidential Primary -- with virtually ZERO mass media attention from MSNBC or other networks. That's actually why I clicked this video - I was shocked and excited to Williamson on MSNBC at all.
It was hard to watch. Steele went on to ask her a question, but never let her answer because he can't stop talking about himself. This is why MSNBC ratings are tanking. Clearly the DNC is out of touch with voters to lose to a convicted felon. Instead of being humbled and open to much needed new ideas as former members of the DNC, these two co-hosts didn't even show basic respect to their guest who their guest who's a legit DNC candidate. This cements my decision to tune out MSNBC - they're part of the problem, not the solution to our serious political problems in America.

Marianne, I respect you tremendously. I am just a citizen. IMHO, what they wanted to hear is something concrete, such as, “I would spend more money on hiring more local party leaders so they can do more ground work and empower them to craft specific messages for their localities and make sure we followed through on their recommendations…I would increase the number of meetings with local party leaders… I would empower local leaders by arranging meetings between them and some of the creative elite of celebrities“ etc., etc. I am praying for the best person to win and praying you are that person. Godspeed.

Watch the Girl Boss STYLE being modeled by the woman who’s challenging Marianne. I’m done with it! It’s women trying to behave like men to prove how tough they are. We need a woman leader who brings a whole new collaborative approach, a more transparent, HONEST, people-powered party. Many of us have told the Democratic Party what we want, and they refuse to listen to us. Woodstock giving lip service to DEI, and squandering our power by criticizing Trump, and be brave enough and forward thinking enough to try something new! Maryann is a breath of fresh air and she has the intellectual, political, and yes, spiritual gravitas to take on a job of such magnitude. Let’s hope the Dems are smart enough to get out of her way and let her lead.

I need to say, Marianne Williamson hasn’t always been my choice, if you will, but, she is my choice in this role. I am familiar with those presenting for the head of the DNC. I wish Michael Steele and Symone Sanders-Townsend could’ve envisioned this too…earlier in the interview. 😢❤😅😉🙏

MW, your resilience is truly impressive. I am so hopeful you will be given the chance this time. We need a different driver... We need a different vision. You stated exactly what you would do to connect local voters to the national vision (i.e. engage local voices).. but they just didn't hear it. It's so clear that they just don't want change, and that the DC-based consultancy class is so deeply entrenched. I think it's just a paralyzing fear of change.. exactly as you state in your message responding to this interview. I could not agree with you more. I continue to think you're the smartest person in the room... and a compassionate visionary, too. I hope you are given the chance. Thank you for not giving up. We beed someonesmart and courageouslike you. You're not perfect (and just as an aside, Ibelievethere are things you can do to improve your likability bc people are brutal judges of women). But you are intelligent, courageous, kind, bold, and a fearless visionary. We need someone like you. All my best to you.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉.

Exactly, Marianne doesn’t seem to able to confront these corrupt corporate media anchors face to face. I love her, and think she’d be great in office, but I don’t think she’s ever fully recovered from that first debate performance which created the unserious image of her to these mainstream audiences and she’s mocked and treated as such every time.
