Dublin Airport is not only the airport for Dublin city, but is also the busiest airport on the island of Ireland. As a result it is well served by buses, not just between the airport and the city, but also to many points around the island. This video was recorded over a two hour period on the June Bank Holiday Monday, and shows the variety of buses that serve the airport.
Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland operate the public service obligation (PSO) city routes (16, 33A, 41 & 102) that go to the airport. Aircoach (owned by First Bus) and Dublin Express (part of National Express) do the limited stop services to Dublin city centre and other points around the city. Both also operate long distance routes to Belfast. Bus Eireann serve the airport with their regional PSO routes (101 and 109A) as well as the long-distance Expressway routes. Translink provide connections to Belfast and Derry / Londonderry through their Goldliner services. A variety of other private operators provide connections to places around Ireland.
The other main source of buses in the airport are the different shuttles that serve the complex. Aircoach, for example, operate shuttles to the car parks on behalf of the Dublin Airport Authority. A lot of hotels also have their own mixture of buses. They range from a Volvo 7900 electric bus (201 D 5834) to a former London Enviro 400 (131 D 38412), with a few Citaros thrown in.
All-in-all, Dublin Airport is quite the hub of bus activity.
