So refreshing watching these videos. No stupid, way-too-loud, unnecessary music, no stupid, way-too-useless comments...just a nice peaceful video....kind of an ASMR thing happening! And Tanya is such a great luthier. Keep up the excellent work!!
You do such fine and detailed work, if I lived nearby you would be my luthier of choice. There is something peaceful and captivating about watching you work. I have a 1985 Fender Stratocaster from the same series. The E serial number indicates it was made in Japan by FujiGen, the same people who make the highest Ibanez J-Craft models now. They are amazing instruments.

What a way to kick off 2024! That's a lovely bass and you really did it justice, Miss Tanya. Happy New Year to you and yours, and may this year be better for your country as well!
Ah thank goodness the best channel on TH-cam is back on the air. I spruced up my dad’s old 60 Epiphone Olympic while I visited him this weekend, was inspired by videos like this.
Hey Tanya, I brought in the new year playing a gig last night, but this is was the best way to top it off, perfect as usual! You know I try to never look at the length of your videos because I don’t want to know how soon it’s going to end, Happy New Year, Paul from Canada.
Wow what a beautiful bass, I’d play that one all day long and I’m a guitar player. Two heroes in this video: Tanya and the super glue. I mean look at the crack in the fretboard, it’s just gone! What really amazed me tho is the touch up you did with the glue on the sides of the fretboard! 02:04 So cool to watch how the glue just perfectly goes wherever you need it to be. Magic! 🦄
Your fingernails have become one of your trademarks. I always know it's another Tanya video by your fingers. I've played for decades, but, never knew much of anything else about the guitar. You are an accomplished luthier. I learn alot by watching you work. Your patience and experience speak volumes in your craft. Cheers.
The 2015 (?) Blacktop Fender Precision bass also had two split-coil P-bass pickups.... I cannot imagine what a bridge split coil Fender must sound like. Excellent video, Tanya
I’ve borrowed a Fender Jazz Bass Blacktop with two p pickups recently. The sound of both pickups on full and combinations of them are very interesting, but the bridge p position isn’t that good. It would work better if it was reversed, cuz G and D strings are too trebly and you get that very annoying clank (especially when popping) and overall inconsistency of strings sound
I'm glad to see a new video from you, as it tells me you are all safe and well after reading about the attack on Kyiv last week. That is a beautiful bass guitar, and you did a great job on it. I noticed you filled in the crack on the fret board with super glue. I've been using lemon oil on the fret boards of all my guitars that have rosewood or ebony for several years now, and that will close those cracks completely as the wood drinks up the lemon oil. I apply that to my guitars with rosewood once or twice a year to keep them in good condition. It works wonderfully, and I would recommend this to all owners of guitars with rosewood fret boards. I do have a question since I own a 1983 Elite Stratocaster; What did you use to whiten the pickup covers on that bass, acetone? That turned out very well. Take care, and be safe and Happy New Year to all of you there.
This Fender Elite Basses are so rare and really innovativ...actually back in the Days one of the modern ones. The Walnut Bass and Body combination makes it sound so warm and smooth. I like it... Bets Regards Nik
Looks very nice! Stopped by when I saw the thumbnail using the old measure past the post and cut the string method. A roadie showed me a better way, you may want to try it yourself: Bring the string from the bridge up to the post and wrap it from 'the bottom up' (in the post hourglass) and thread the hole/slot, tug the string taught and tune up, snip off the excess wire clean. The roadie would change strings on dozens of guitars a night every night on tour and he found it faster and more accurate than the pre-cutting method and just as fast as locking tuners.
Very nearly bought one of these new back in the day. Lovely instrument with stunning looks. At the last moment I noticed a warp in the neck and this stopped me. The neck was made from an unusual wood (walnut?). Not what you’d expect from an instrument of this price.
I saw an early '80s candy apple green with gold and pearl hardware elite Strat once back in 1993, and it's top 5 on my dream guitar list. Sadly will never happen, they are hard to find and not cheap.
Very Nice restoration on a very Nice guitar ,I want to say its made of Walnut but it may be Mahogany either way you did a Great job especially on the Ebony Fretboard
I would like to say that a lot of us in the USA hope and pray for all that is in the Ukraine !... Tanya always remember there are still a lot of good people in this world.
These are very rare! The reason is because people at the time unjustifiably hated them and the line was prominently dropped. Add to that Fender was sold the next year and the new company had to severely cut their product line to get themselves back on their feet. There are several other things about the sale that also contributed to the Fender Elite product line being killed off. But long story short, because of the circumstances at Fender when the Elites were released, they are now some of the more rare Fenders out there. This is definitely a guitar worth Tanya’s love and attention.
Trogly's guitar channel featured a walnut Stratcaster labeled The Strat from that era the other day. The gold plated parts on it were plated with 100 microns of gold, 5 times the gold plating that expensive gold watches generally are.
Satisfying....Yesssssss... I bet it feels and plays like buttah. A belt you've had for 20 years. So goood :). Thank You for letting us look over your shoulder. Best Regards and Best Wishes! 🇺🇦🇵🇱💛💙 Slava Ukraini and Heroyam Slava! 🇺🇦🇵🇱💛💙
Does anyone know what Tanya sprayed on that bridge after she gave it a sonic bath and before the compressed air? It looked like she sprayed a liquid to shine it up. It’s tough to find products that won’t damage gold colored hardware even when they say they’re safe. I’m sure Tanya wouldn’t use anything if she had any doubt it would damage the hardware’s gold coloring. Would love to know what she used.
Once again, if someone try to chat with you through telegram or other app - THIS IS SCAM, report and forget 🙃

Wow!! I am a bass player and Fender fan. I have never seen one of those in person! Thank you for posting!
Your hands are beautiful 😊
@@RevGerryRM Pig!
I bought a Telecaster Elite in 1983. It came with push buttons and a smaller pick guard. I altered it to regular Telecaster specs. I still have it!
Not in person here either.
All of these tend to be heavy - I like the sound of the Elit Strat though.@@audiotechlabs4650
Ein wunderschönes Instrument. Jetzt ist es wieder in Top Form. Danke Frau Shpachuk.👍🎸
There's always a degree of comfort in watching you trim away the glue at the frets with your chisel. Just love it.

Captivating, indeed. I feel the same way.
This not a joke; I am a guitar player, my wife is a nail artist. We both watch your videos for very different reasons! Haha
I think this the first I’ve seen a Bass on anyone’s table….very awesome. By the way Tanya, you do pretty work.
She worked on a Fender Jazz bass a few months ago.
Happy New Year, I hope you all the best for 2024!

Суко... Тэтяно. Татьяна! Таня!
Wonderful seeing beauty restored to a wonderful instrument. Nothing like a beautiful Fender P bass, even though I have a G&L. Great job, Tanya!
Beautiful bass. Really thought you were going to do a full-on refretting, but after seeing it all sanded/filed down, that made more sense. Nice job.
Guitar player here, love the headstock, actually the whole 🎸.... love the color combination ❗️👍
The owner of that Bass first response should be... WOW!!, I know That was my response at the end of this video. You are very skilled. Love it.❤👍
Watching you lay out that CA glue, accompanied by the sound of the sander was hilarious!
That is a beautiful bass and it cleaned up perfectly. The neck, headstock and fingerboard look spectacular. Great job, Tanya.

Very impressive! Great job, young lady. Stay safe and God bless!
Fabulous job, Tanya! That bass is good to go for another couple of decades at least!❤
Once more, your patience and skill are wonderful to behold.
That is such a nice bass
I used to own one of these (black/maple) with just regular chrome hardware. Nice basses!

Fantastic work, Tanya! You are truly an artist 🙂
Fender made a special pbass solid rosewood neck about 2018 and it was also awesome. The tone was amazing.
Nice work! Happy New Year and please stay safe.
I found your channel awhile ago now and I'm happy to see it's still growing. Happy New years!! And may this year be good luck for you and your family!
Love your videos!
Tanya, anything you touch turns into gold !
Do people in USA ship you guitars to fix?
What a beautiful instrument! I dont think Ive ever even thought that of a Fender before either, they have always seemed more utilitarian to me.

Nice repair, and your nails are fantastic!

What a treat to start the new year! Great results Ma'am!
That's an awesome restoration job.
Happy New Year!
Oh this was a treat! ❤ That's a gorgeous bass.
Nice job. I didn't think the super glue would fill those fret board cracks as well as it did. Nice.

Cool bass. That bridge is a huge gimmick if I ever seen one.
Amazing all the gunk that accumulates underneath everything
