The alternate title for this episode should be "And then her dog died". Nick is so sweet and caring and empathetic, which is why Charlie and Imogen both like him so much in the first place. And I like that they show his mom assuming heterosexuality when she says "the right girl will come along" and then showing Nick reacting to that statement. I think that it's particularly useful as a really subtle example for parents of how their assumptions might affect their children. AND it also models really healthy communication skills. I just love this show so much.

nick and charlie has a speical bond and their connection towards each other and also there chemistry so powerful.and there passion is so magical and the hug that nick gave charlie is for saying iam sorry that u feel u have to keep this a secaret to me nick feel so bad that he ask charlie that but charlie is makeing sure that nick is ok that he will be there though the rough and good and he will support him in verty thing he goes though because they both love each other . and i love how nick was honest to charlie explaning what happen and how he feels and also to Imogen as well it take alot for sameone to press there feelings to people that they care about. and the photo was so beautiful them them in the snow together haveing a speical magic time together.
Nick and Charlie are very good at supporting and communicating with each other which I think is the amazing thing about this show is that there is very little drama or fighting is the nice thing, to see a happy and healthy relationship is amazing

From Tao's perspective Nick is a friend of Harry and the other bullies. So Nick is already suspect. Nick is "known" to be straight at this point, Charlie even told Tao that he was straight. So with that in mind it kinda looks like Nick is taking advantage of Charlie's crush, or setting him up for a cruel "prank" with Harry. I can see how Tao has no reason to trust Nick has Charlie's best interests at heart.
Random thought but the date with Imogen felt like an example of when trying so hard to be nice can actually be less nice in the end. I would imagine her all excited on Saturday, getting ready, thinking about the date, only to get a text at the last minute canceling it.

Hi Ash, I want to tell that I really enjoying watching your reaction to each episode 💕 Also I want to clarify some aspect about Tao… when I start watching the serie my reaction about him were like yours, but then I read the books and he is a fearless protector of his friends, specially Charlie. Because in his previous school year he suffered from bullying. We can see little glimpses in the show of the consequences left by psychological abuse. Also, if you can read the books, Tao feels responsible about Charlie’s suffering so he reacts protecting him now. Anyway, keep watching the show…. It gets more sweet and perfect and a little angsty!
