I'm the guy that bought one used and needed this video. Didn't realize you needed to push the barrel all the way back to press the takedown pin back in!
This helped me out a lot when I was having an issue with it, I didn't fully understand the manual's explanation of the take down so thank you very much, your video is a life saver!
Thanks! I went to clean this one after not using for a while and had completely forgot. I knew the lever had something to with it. you saved me countless time and aggravation.
I just bought this and field stripped it had a hard time reassembling it because i didn't push the BARREL BACK, after you get the slide back on YOU HAVE TO PUSH THE BARREL REARWARD THEN LOCK THE PIN IN PLACE. Thank You this video helped me out.
Man the lock won’t close for me you explained it so right I was here for a whole hour Tranna figure out why is not locking back together and it was the barrel the whole time
@@THEZOMBIEBUNKER thank you. I just got the ruger 57 roday. Its the 643 serial number. "Apparently these dont have the safety lever malfunction that the earlier models had, lol probably because there is no safety. 🤷♂️🤙
You explained better than Ruger's official video. Thanks
I was going to say the same thing! Ruger’s official video caused me to turn the take down lever the wrong way and almost break my pistol.
I concur! Had to look for another video. Glad this was the second video I came to. Thanks a million!🎉

This dude is the goat I was soo pissed I just had to wiggle the barrel to get the pin to go back

Hey, what could be the reason my loaded magazine won't clamp and completely locked into the gun, but yet locks in tight with an unloaded magazine?
Did you find a fix
@@jinxme6 yep but with a slight adjustment.
Common with this gun
This helped a lot I appreciate you
Bro you helped me out Thank you
Ty it definitely helped me out
Clear simple straight to the point. Great video!
Thanks great instructions
yup....video was for this guy who bought a used one and had no clue! Thank You.
I accidentally pushed the takedown level back to it's original position with the slide detached and cannot figure out how to get the slide back on now
Thanks, helped a lot.
Thank you.
Helped me lol I’m a visual type a guy .
I'm new to firearms and this is the handgun I wanna get.. Not too much recoil and a good looking weapon. Any advice ?
this gun lol.
Yea I agree, this gun. One note would be that the slide is around double the length of a handgun cartridge, it feels different to cock
I love it ! However better have a pocket full of money for the ammo !
Недостатки какие имеются?

Why dont my ruger 57 have a safety switch on either side?
They apparently came out with a pro model with no safety
