Okay 2:28 actually made me pretty sad because like... he's not saying that because he really wants to kill people (if you think he's a homicidal maniac, you are waaay off the mark), he's saying that because his luck is such a ridiculous force, he probably genuinely believed that being taken to a tropical island for a school trip way a good luck swing, so something ridiculously awful has to happen as well. If you haven't noticed, Komaeda's 'good luck' is substantially less proportional to his 'bad luck'. In what universe does inheritance equal the fact you have literally no living family? It's highly unbalanced in favor of his bad luck. He's so used to this constantly swinging luck in his life he probably assumes that with every good thing there must come something 3x worse. Forever. Not to mention, the other part of this is that he's clearly suicidal (not that he'd ever own up to being depressed). He genuinely believed during the entire time of those 50 days of peace that at any given moment something was going to go horrendously wrong, because that's just how his life works, and I find that extremely sad.
Finally a comment that understands nagito, I might be 6 years way late but I just want to say thanks for putting such an understanding comment of his character. I wish more people understood him
What about after they come back in the real world? What about their messed up body? What about Chiaki that disapeared? What about their reactions when they find out that everybody is Completely different? What if they find out what they really did, the truth, eventually? DESPAIR, I want to know what would happen! To me, I would simply fall back into despair...
Their memories of despair would be replaced by the memories on the island but I'm not so sure about Chiaki or their missing parts and the world would be simular to how it already was except a little bit more destroyed than it was before
Actually in the main game is explained that their versions of the Neo World Program, aka the way they look inside the virtual world, is the way they would look like once they get out, i assume they wouldnt end up like they end there, with hajime/izuru fussed, or nagito and his metal arm, since they never forced the shutdown sequence, and chiaki would kind of only be remembered as an ai, the real chiaki would have never existed since they met her during their school life, wich is erased along with the memories of being ultimate despair and izuru for hajimeme

I would give anything to see an official Danganronpa game, anime, or manga that shows how the events of Danganronpa 3: Future Arc would transpire in the Island Mode timeline. Whether the FInal Killing Game is canceled/postponed, or it still happens except at least one Danganronpa 2 character is present and it changes the way it goes, like who lives and dies.

It's an unlockable bonus game, set in an alternate timeline where Usami defeats Monokuma and the Heart-Throbbing School Trip goes on as scheduled. You unlock it after finishing the main game. Trigger Happy Havoc and Killing Harmony also have their own equivalents.
