I don't get people leaving comments just saying 'I don't like Richard Herring / Romesh Ranganathan'. Why are you here then? Just to spread negativity? Ace! Good life choices.
What a joy. I've recently discovered Romesh's work, so I was delighted to find this episode, and you were both just delightful all the way through. Thanks for making these videos available. Love the podcast!
Just discovered these podcasts last night and I'm already 4 down. Love the casual shite talking style, just like two good mates bantering at a party. This one is my favourite so far! FYI reckon the people who think Richard isn't funny just take life too seriously.
This is one of the funniest podcasts, Romesh is brilliant. Had me howling a few times. 1:04:55 Love that Romesh called out how awkward Richard got about having sex versus sticking a rib through a urethra for self-fellation.
The thing about the veganism - people always complain that vegans won't shut up about being vegan. But every show I see Romesh on, it's always someone else bringing up the fact that he's vegan, asking him to talk about it. And then sometimes later in the same show they'll make fun of him for talking about veganism.
@@OfficialFingazMC I really REALLY don't think that's true. I know A LOT of vegans and they are ALL very respectful of other people's lifestyles. I at least think that militant vegans are in a very small minority, and being vegan, I can tell you we put up with all kinds of rubbish from people all the time. When people are having a go at you about it all the time it's hard not to get a bit defensive, but still I find most vegans manage.
@@charliepotter100 yup. It's the vegans who get the shit. Their existence seems to make people uncomfortable - they feel they are being judged, even when nobody has said anything. It's the same psychology behind giving hassle to and making 'jokes' about the person who has decided not to drink one night or is laying off the party substances.
ooh, new titles and all with the new series...all .that money went to a good purpose. and as always a quality offering from Mr. Herring for our entertainment pleasure. Always the Finest Quality. Thanks Mr. Herring!! and thanks for sharing these and putting something good on the wwweb.
I love this interview. I am a physics, metallurgy, engineering person and I hate or do not understand calculus. Never needed it in my life. Geometry, algebra and trigonometry yes. I use them. But calculus, a waste of time. The tutor did not explain it well, a friend did however and I got a really high score. Never used it since
I was surprised that no mention was made of the baculum or penis bone that is present in many other mammals. Chimpanzees and bonobos both have penis bones as do many other species. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baculum
11:40 I actually found it interesting hearing what a "cost analyst for an airline caterers" had to do. Maybe it's because my first job was as a trainee quantity surveyor. (I never qualified as an actual quantity surveyor and so never became a member of RICS).
My favourite part was when 2 members of the audience stayed for the whole show but couldn't wait for the last 20 seconds and stood up in front of the camera.
I wish he had spoken about his transition from teaching and his experiences more. I also can't stand when the conversation is going well, but then it just turns into the Richard Herring show.
Hey, Mr Herring. Got an emergency question for you. Of the comedians you know personally, who would you most like to write the obituary for... bearing in mind that they actually have to die first? And what would be your zinger anecdote to memorialise them. You may, for the purpose of the question, decide for yourself how they died. Have fun. Answer my comment and I'll buy a badge.
052:50... onwards.. Herring walks into one and laughs when he realises... I love it when comedians bounce off each other.. :-) RR got a new fan.. clever stuff (am a RH fan from before FoF)
Found him funny when I've seen him and these podcasts let you see a different and, I'd hope, honest side to the interviewee. Have to say though that I do like his slightly pissed off, sardonic and bored onscreen persona.
hour 1 25 mins in, talk about babies being upside down in the womb, and the idea that there is no gravity. does that mean babies gestate in a Vac-womb?
Hey Richard. I've heard you say Alan Sugar tweets "what's the Tottenham score?" before, claiming he could easily find out. On this occasion you might be mistaken. Football fans will often see their team winning then ask people it will annoy "What's the (my team) score?" He is still annoying you, just not because your team is getting beat by his.
What if his surname was a funnier animal? Would it help you find him funnier? If it would, then I think it's probably your problem, not his. Did your parents argue a lot? I'm just trying to help.
+Richard Herring That sounds a bit harsh on reflection, I must have been tired. I think if I was a bit more middle class this would be hilarious, I'm working on social climbing as I write, I'm guessing if I watch this in about 5 years time this will be comedy gold :-)
+B Hewitt Hey B, do the kind of people you mix with take you more serious if you chuck in the 'F' bomb?. I like your style though .... ever thought of writing for the Daily Mail, they always need people with your writing abilities :-)
+B Hewitt My comments about the podcast was honest feedback, I appreciate not everyone likes people being honest when it is not complimentary, completely understandable but in comedy as in life adults learn to filter criticism and some even learn from it. Does Richard really need you to second guess how he feels about my post, what really has it got to do with you? Why are you even getting involved, I was giving honest feedback, who cares what you think about my feedback, why don't you try being more positive, listen to the podcast and give your own constructive feedback, I never questioned or brought into doubt his work ethic. Old saying: if you've got nothing nice to say, say nothing.
I find them both really funny. Why can't people just leave it and move on?
I don't like him, only because i wake up to this playing full blast
they're complaining to the youtube algorithm or something 😁😁
I agree 👍
This is still up there with the best of these. Romesh so enjoyable to watch and listen to.
This is definitely one of the best in the series, up there with the David Mitchell & Bob Mortimer episodes :)
It's a lot of fun, hard to top David Mitchell round 2 though!
What a joy. I've recently discovered Romesh's work, so I was delighted to find this episode, and you were both just delightful all the way through. Thanks for making these videos available. Love the podcast!
This is probably my 4th time round watching this. Still love it!
This was easily one of the best, if not the best, podcasts I've seen to date...Romesh was brilliant...seems like a really nice guy...

Brilliant, he is really funny and would make a great double act with Rich.
Another brilliant episode
I’ve never seen Romesh in such good humor. Lot of fun. 👍
Richard has a knack to make everyone relax. Gets stuff out of people that others wouldn't. He's a genuinely nice guy and that comes across x
The Adam Buxton podcast with Romesh is fantastic if you enjoyed this one, they're just both hanging out in LA shooting the shit, it's hilarious.
Just had a look at Romesh's twitter in 2010, he basically talked to himself for the whole year

'I had the chance to kill Michael Gove this weekend' .. I would love to know Richard's thoughts on this 5 years on..!
And that's how, pretending to be Romesh Ranganathan, Richard Herring managed to destroy the career of Paul Chowdhry...
what the hell is with that weird laughter track around 18mins 50secs mark?!
Stuart Collie 18mins 47secs to be precise
Stuart Collie They're just laughing at "maths is a..." ;)
VidSheridan "maths is a..." Classic Romesh.
+Stuart Collie Don't worry, Terry will edit that out.
I love the way they said -well we should probably get back to our kids. 20 mins later still waffling :)
What's going at at 18:47?
It was very interesting hearing about Romesh's job as a cost analyst but he never explained what the deal is with airline food
This show is impressive.

Great show old Bean!
Funny watching this now knowing that Romesh did all of the 'you're fired' eps this season.
Great !
well i like it! he's got a unique style sort of awkward confidence, is filling my 6 hour commute with some amusement

I think he should have ironed the shirts too.
Viewer 1999. And pretty sure the Russel brand was longer. Just watched that one again

Sorry I'm late Richard. Didn't know you had a channel, these chat's are mint, keep'em going
Canned laughter at 18:46?

Ahh good, he's not "in character". I don't think I'd enjoy two hours of him pretending to be boring :)
