Outro: Tear was released in 2018 after they started to really break out in the West. It was about their difficulty dealing with the pressure of worldwide fame that they were questioning whether they wanted to continue or not. This was at the beginning of 2018.
You're mixing up the timeline lol. This song was part of the LY Tear album released in 2018. BTS won their first daesang/grand award in 2016. Contract renewals started early in 2018ish when they were considering disbanding because the fame/pressure/neverending schedules etc became too much because of their 2017-2018 international blow up. They ended up renewing their contracts early (original contracts were up until 2020 so they renewed 2 years early) then decided to try again, give this a shot because they ultimately love music, love performing, love being together/each other and love the fans. They went through that hard necessary period/transition and came out stronger on the other end.

suga often raps about how fame is not at all as glamorous as he thought or wished it to be. how he wanted all the money, fame and success but being afraid of it once he actually obtained it. how his greed and passion became a double edged sword. the more you have, the more you have to lose.
This was 2018 and BTS had got really big by then and they were working all the time touring, and were exhausted. They felt burnt out and all talked about quitting because of the stress. The company had got past it's shaky beginning by then, and was making money. You can't book and fill a stadium that size if you aren't making money. Luckily the guys got together and decided to continue as BTS, or we wouldn't be listening to all their brilliant music now. This song is an expression of the exhaustion and despair they were feeling.
Guys btw if you want me to make a BTS TIKTOK COMPILATION for your channel I can make it and tag your name in the title then you can react to it since it's for you. (idk if u know this or not but a lot of bts reactors react to a bts compilations made for their Channel) this will helps u know bts more in every level. So yeah if you want it just reply to my comment 😊.....
This song was written by Suga, at a tine when BTS was thinking of disbandment, due to mental exhaustion of constantly fighting hate snd discrimination.
MMA 2019 is an iconic live performance, it is long, but worth every second! It truly was mind blowing and has a wide variety of their music, starting with RM's 'Persona', followed by 'Boy In Luv' with Taehyung/V's growls and it just goes on from there. This was the performance that made me their fan for real.
UGH and Cypher 3 at their Busan Concert OR UGH Boxing Ring pleaseeeeeeeeeeee. Also 2018 MAMA awards show really shows how tough they were having it. A Long and Helpful Guide to BTS 2024 is a good video of their (current) solo work. So good. It is long but very good and helps you really see what each was is capable of. J Hope 2022 MAMA solo performance was wow!
Hi guys. This is one of your best reactions. Lots of respect for J hope, RM , and Suga. Limited swearing and no putting down women by name calling. Keep up your hard work and this will be a channel to watch out for. Cheers from a great grandma from Australia. ❤
i get why tear was written, from going through the company struggling right to MASSIVE hate, then all of a sudden international fame but that fame came with so much physical and mental exhaustion and non-stop gigs, from back-to-back. your just go through completely different emotions and difficulties each year that shit will burn you out.
You should watch J-Hope's performance in Lollapalooza in 2022. 100K crowd and he held them all in the palm of his hand. J-Cole was also headlining the day before and they met. Imagine meeting your idol and getting complimented by him. It was a surreal experience for him, but he absolutely rocked it. First one to do solo performance among BTS guys as well. Nerve-wracking! 💜💜💜

2018 was very hard for BTS because of sudden blown out to the west and all sides attack of hates scandals and etc thrown at them the pressure is intense that they got overwhelmed and consider disbanding this song came out.
YAYYYY!!!! YOU GUYS REACTED TO OUTRO: TEAR!!! It's raw and emotional. I will recommend Suga's Outro: Shadow. RM's Flowerwork and Jhope's Arson (if you haven't already done so). Thanks for your honest reaction 😊
I Need You was the first song they won a music show with in 2015. "The Most Beautiful Moment In Life: Young Forever" album, and their first Daesang (big award) was album of the year in 2016, and they had just debuted Wings, and Blood, Sweat, and Tears, and performed amazingly at the award show. They also won their first Artist of the year award that year. They started blowing up in the USA in 2017. They performed their song DNA at the AMA's and they won Top Social Artist at the Billboard awards, which they won five years in a row, until Billboard did away with the award. Dynamite was released in 2020, during the pandemic, and that song got them their first Billboard Hot 100. In 2021, BTS was nominated for a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their song "Dynamite". They have since been nominated a total of 5 times. No wins yet.
Suga has so much stuff as August d also I think Bapsae (silver spoon) is a good one for aqua for sure he has to check Jhope at lollapalooza baseline was amazing have a great day!! Night here in Spain
This is one of my favorites also, You guys should do “BTS guide” it talks about each member, what their roles are, how they got together and about all the stuff they went through to get where they are. It’s really good. “Born Singer” proof album live. This was right before they went into the military. “Crystal Snow” live is another good one. You felt the emotion because it was all emotion. This song was to their members, because in 2018 they were all having a hard time and thought about breaking up as a group. The hate was just brutal towards them, and mentally they didn’t know if they were gonna be able to handle it. So they went their separate ways to think about everything, they had a time that they would meet again to see if they all agreed one way or the other. They met, and decided to keep going, now look at them. Someone else mentioned “Truth untold” live, this is the vocal line only, this is their song, about this situation.
Dudes, you don't have to guess about BTS' history if you watch the BTS Guide by Taylor Mari. There are other ones that go more in depth (Rise of Bangtan) but I don't know how much time you want to devote to it.
When you have long-free time, you may watch : Guide to BTS the Bangtan 7 by Taylor mari BTS hardships throughout the years by xceleste updated version Why the music industry is terrified of BTS by boracity magazine 7:33
I saw this at Wembly and part of my soul changed forever. I have to say it's really lovely watching a reaction when there is an Army on hand to explain stuff to the rest. It's great watching his enjoyment of, and care for, Bangtan.
I really think you should react to Hobipalooza. I was one of 150000 people who went to see him at Lollapalooza and it was worth every penny! I drove 8 hours one way and stood in place for 8 and a half hours to watch him and I would do it again in a heartbeat!
BTS blow up songs would be I NEED U which was their first win in 2015 and blew them up in Latin America and then Blood Sweat & Tears (2016) as well as DNA (2017) where what blew them up in North America
V said in Suga's talk show that the text from Suga to him and Jungkook helped them get strength. It was the catalyst for them to keep going during their burnout. V also planned a trip for all the members in early 2018 to get away and spend time together. After this trip and time they spent talking, they decided to continue going and signed a new contract. Just for clarity, they were not close to bankruptcy at this time but expanding into the western market more than they have in the past. You guys are doing great. Keep going and enjoy the ride. 💜
That´s one of my favorite performances by the rap line, it has such energy, you feel and believe every word they say. Especially if you know how they love each other and how just the idea to break the group would break their heart. But the work tempo was so hard for them, it was a hard hard work, they were breaking.
This was when all of bts has on this military style DIOR combat outfit and it was own of their best looks As a person who has gone to a total of 5 K-pop concerts and the first wver concert i went to was BTS 2018 LY tour in New Jersey (I'm from NY) Tickets sell out quickly , and it's hard getting tickets to kpop concerts, the concerts are fun and onw of a kind, definitely a different experience from other non kpop music concerts. I saw Jhope at lollapalooza in chicago and that was also fun as hell Ive been a kpop fan since 2014/2015
You should react to Agust D big 4. People will tell you the trilogy. But I think you need to start with his self titled song, AGUST D (uses a James brown track, so good) where he addresses the haters who say he’s a fake rapper cuz he sold out to be an idol. Then Daechwita - slapping back at his haters again, Haegeum -(criticism on the role social media and superficial hate that’s destroying us), and Amygdala (healing his past trauma by unpacking it).
Oh Boy. Should we explain beforehand or see if they figure it out? Every time someone recommends this as the first song from RM, I worry, because a few reactors didn't get the meaning and ragged on him, while I think that song is brilliant.

2018, while it was probably one of the best years for them in terms of growth, it was also one of the worst years for them behind the scenes. they were big, but they were almost too big. countless hate trains, immense pressure, overworking, and then having to sit in front of a camera and act like everything was fine, smiling and having to entertain. it was no wonder why they had thoughts of disbanding, but they pulled through, and look at them now.

J-hope has great stage presence. Please react to Ugh and Cypher 3 in Busan. And if you can make a longer reaction, I recommend J-hope at Lollapalooza 2022 (with subtitles)
@@gi2740 YES! Hobi at Lala was ICONIC!!
This was about how difficult the year 2018 was for them . If u remember the mama awards where every member cried because they thought they'll disband.
suga often raps about how fame is not at all as glamorous as he thought or wished it to be. how he wanted all the money, fame and success but being afraid of it once he actually obtained it. how his greed and passion became a double edged sword. the more you have, the more you have to lose.
This song is so beautiful. They wrote it when BTS was considering disbanding in 2018, due to a difficult time. (And yes, J-Hope is a beast on stage).
Waitingfor jhope lollapalooza reaction guys... There are 2 parts for the concert..
Jhope has THE aura
His verses always are so addictive
+ rap line’s songs hit differently 🔥
Jhope is my bias on rapline he's really good on stage his performance like loosing my breath
I need muggi to show them the Agust D trilogy. Daechwita, Haegeum and Amygdala. And explain it to them. Keep up the good work!
Yes! Let's have a Meow Meow appreciation day! Although I can't watch Amygdala too much, I cry too much.
And "August D" by August D
Guys btw if you want me to make a BTS TIKTOK COMPILATION for your channel I can make it and tag your name in the title then you can react to it since it's for you. (idk if u know this or not but a lot of bts reactors react to a bts compilations made for their Channel) this will helps u know bts more in every level. So yeah if you want it just reply to my comment 😊.....
Take your time. U can deny too. It's no problem
@@OldJeansV hell yeah ! U got our approval
@@DemiAqua111 okey. When I drop it u will be tagged in the title and the description.
Can you share with us too pls? 🤭 will follow you and your links thank you!
@wongpauline22 I didn't get it. U mean for your own channel or what?
This song was written by Suga, at a tine when BTS was thinking of disbandment, due to mental exhaustion of constantly fighting hate snd discrimination.
If you want to see and feel a lot of energy, I recommend you watch the performance at "MMA 2019."
It's one of the award ceremonies in Korea
MMA 2019 is an iconic live performance, it is long, but worth every second! It truly was mind blowing and has a wide variety of their music, starting with RM's 'Persona', followed by 'Boy In Luv' with Taehyung/V's growls and it just goes on from there. This was the performance that made me their fan for real.
@@heartsamessgaultier8562 Thank you for explaining it right!💜 I'm not very good at English.
Everyone bring the BAR and the chills, but JHOPE bring the goosebump!!!!!!
knowing Jhope just Learn rapping before the debut.
He was a vocal and dance and turn out rapper and seeing how he had a natural rapper fluid in him.
Maybe because he grew up dancing to hip-hop . So he has that hip-hop thing in him
That's misinfo about the vocal part
@@Kookiepookie2025 wht miss info he uses to sing he audition dancing he use to sing with other idol so he was a singer vocalist. When he became part of bts he learn rapping
@@Kookiepookie2025 He is a singer who was about to debut before being signed by Big Hit. He is their first trainee. If you are talking about the rumor that he was vocal and V replaced him, yes that is misinformation and never happened :) But he is indeed a singer before he learned to rap professionally through Big Hit
2018 was very hard for BTS because of sudden blown out to the west and all sides attack of hates scandals and etc thrown at them the pressure is intense that they got overwhelmed and consider disbanding this song came out.
RM-Joke, J HOPE- Arson, SUGA(AGUST D)-Daechwita
JHope owned this song!!
BTS hits different because they are so authentic, sincere, emotional and intelligent in their songs and performances.
YAYYYY!!!! YOU GUYS REACTED TO OUTRO: TEAR!!! It's raw and emotional. I will recommend Suga's Outro: Shadow. RM's Flowerwork and Jhope's Arson (if you haven't already done so). Thanks for your honest reaction 😊
I was there, 2nd night Wembley stadium 2019. The first 3 notes give me chills to this day! BTS live are unbelievable and this was just iconic.
Watch the most beautiful life of BTS from Rice squad
THIS UP UP
This is my favorite song from BTS, between the lyrics and the emotion from the performance nothing can touch it.
Please reaction to BTS jhope's killing verse
Can't wait for your Guide reaction.

pls react to jhopes lollapalooza i knowu will love it specially the first part of it pls....thanks
Suga wrote the beat and. the words at a time when BTS was talking about breaking up. this song was cleansing for them and put them back on track.
Jhoooope!! La mejor Rap line del universo y más allá!!💜💜💜
Please react to BTS
UGH and CYPHER 3 live in Busan,This performance is fire 🔥
Missing the intro vid be adding spice lmao. The impersonations be too funny. 😂

Daechwita, More & Joke. Mugi, if you all watch these, please let the guys know the reason for Joke. Feel better Mugi! Love you guys 💜💜💜
Please react to J-Hope 1Verse and Hangsang
That´s one of my favorite performances by the rap line, it has such energy, you feel and believe every word they say. Especially if you know how they love each other and how just the idea to break the group would break their heart. But the work tempo was so hard for them, it was a hard hard work, they were breaking.
This was when all of bts has on this military style DIOR combat outfit and it was own of their best looks
As a person who has gone to a total of 5 K-pop concerts and the first wver concert i went to was BTS 2018 LY tour in New Jersey (I'm from NY)
Tickets sell out quickly , and it's hard getting tickets to kpop concerts, the concerts are fun and onw of a kind, definitely a different experience from other non kpop music concerts.
I saw Jhope at lollapalooza in chicago and that was also fun as hell
Ive been a kpop fan since 2014/2015
Y’all are so READY for the guide….You all have come so far in so little time
💕💖💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💖💕
Great reaction can’t wait to see you guys react to the bts guide by Taylor💜
2:30 Yes emotional song the backstory is they was thinking of disbanding
5:15 J-hope bias incoming
10:11 exactly
Bring 'we are bulletproof pt 1' and 'we are bulletproof pt 2' I THINK you'll like this masterpiece by BTS 💜👑
Get well soon Mugi🙏💜
Hopefully 🤞🏾 💜
You should react to Agust D big 4. People will tell you the trilogy. But I think you need to start with his self titled song,
AGUST D (uses a James brown track, so good) where he addresses the haters who say he’s a fake rapper cuz he sold out to be an idol. Then Daechwita - slapping back at his haters again,
Haegeum -(criticism on the role social media and superficial hate that’s destroying us), and Amygdala (healing his past trauma by unpacking it).
You guys gotta watch the BTS Guide by Taylor Mari.
You guys should definitely check out RM video Joke.
Oh Boy. Should we explain beforehand or see if they figure it out? Every time someone recommends this as the first song from RM, I worry, because a few reactors didn't get the meaning and ragged on him, while I think that song is brilliant.
@heartsamessgaultier8562 I think a k-army should explain the song. Might be a good idea.
😍😍😍 What a pleasant surprise!!! Left me grab my coffe and here I am! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 I was sure that you will love this . And I am so happy that you pay attention to the lyrycs!! Lot of respect for that!! 🥰♥️🥰 You, guys are AWESOME!! Wish you all a Blessed day ahead!! 😇💌😇 Purple you!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
When are ya'll gonna react to JHope's solo stuff...specifically his song with J Cole? On The Street
They never disappoint.
Time for another banger video (It's okay that yall keep losing the intro, it's funny hearing yall's impressions of each other lol)
Great reaction. Thank you for listening to this for us
Love this reaction! Thanks for sharing!
You should check out Shadow but Suga once you get into their solo stuff!! 🫰🏾💜
Shadow long version
Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. This songs talks about them breaking up. It is a heartbreak song. When Suga was rapping did u see he was acting like he kept getting punched. The acting, dang. Dior BTS is everything. Suga is so swaggy. RM so cute and Hobi 0.0. Jimin bias, Suga wrecker and OT7. But after this song Army were dead!!! I hope u rewatch this and read the lyrics. Such a powerful song. It is intense. It is passionate. It is truth spoken out loud and thank god never fulfilled. So much feels. Love it. The stage mix is fine too hope u check it out as well as their other stages of this song. Suga is the main producer in BTS. RM is the 2nd producer though he writes songs more these last few yrs. DNA had BTS blew up here in USA 1st. The other song might have been Fire or Fake Love. I Need U made them blow up in Korea. That was the start of there rise. Save Me was not about them needing money or stuff. Just rewatch guides to refresh memory. Hugs. -2019 Army NY USA💜
Suga said: "the lyrics for Tear were written for the members. When I was writing the melody, at the time, we were deeply contemplating whether we should quit or not. When I played the song for the members we all cried together".
Also RM is saying "Tear" as in crying and Suga as in ripping something apart.
Imajin All The Purple said on 2/25/23
They actually hid a third meaning of tear in the song: Suga says T.E.A.R. which is a coping mechanism for loss:
T - To accept the reality of the loss
E - Experience the pain of the loss
A - Adjust to the new environment without the lost person
R - Reinvest in the new reality
They are lyrical kings indeed! 💜

I REALLY recommend you guys to watch their speech at the 2018 MAMA Award Show when they won Artist Of The Year. They talked about their disbanding in their speech (Jin made it clear). It's very emotional and I think it's good for you guys understand Outro: Tear better. 💜💜💜

dior made their outfits especially for this show
It may be time for "The guide of BTS "from Taylor Mari
I recommend you to react to a guide to bts members the bangtan 7 by Taylor to know them better and you can react also to bts mic drop and run bts live in Busan and bts dance practice.
j-hope в tear это бог! Ему не было равных!🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠

10:13 Blue hat man😭😭😭
On BTS's last world tour , DIOR was in charge of designing those unique outfits , only one piece was made for each of the 7 members and now that costume is in the HYBE labels Museum
Have you done ON Manifesto? I don't think you have and it showcases the whole group and it's breath taking!
Hey yall should react to their medley performances! They’re so cool and I think you’d like them since they also play parts from like 4-5 songs:)
YES!!!!! 7:03 RM!!!!! and the dior fit on jhope gosh and suga. they really are THAT
The fits are custom Dior designed by Kim Jones himself
When ppl are pausing and watching parts over and over again to understand the lyrics you wrote, that's when you know you fcking slayed.
They went through so Mach hard time. I love that they stay together 😢
how about CYPHER MEDLEY LIVE???!!
RM analyzes the world
Suga criticizes the world
J-hope visualizes the world
This man going to be buying Jhope merchandise soon lol
Tear is the only song I simultaneously wish to witness live and never have them perform ever again. It's too painful for them as a group, and it shows in their delivery.
RM Joke JHope More and Suga Daechwita are great rap line members solos
RM is truly a great leader..
J-Hope in Dior is fire! I think because he’s the Main Dancer of BTS, J-Hope always emits that extra bit of energy and stage presence. (RM is still my favorite though).
They wrote this song when they were thinking of disbanding as a group... in 2018
