I’m getting married in june 2026 on the amalfi coast. initially we wanted to spend 30k for 100 guests, then realized it would cost 50k so changed up a couple of things and now our budget is 40k, hopefully we stay within it :D (i also got the dress off the rack from an outlet atelier and it was 60% off the original price!)
@@silviasaintgold it happens and actually 40k for that many guests in Italy during peak season sounds amazing! It’ll be great and you’ll remember it for the rest of your life ✨ and the outlet dresses will always be the ultimate cheat code in my opinion!
I'm an American living in Italy, and marrying an Italian, and we are planning our wedding now. This video is a godsend 🙏🙏🙏 We also aren't doing a wedding party to save money, and honestly, stress 😅
Your wedding was beautiful! I’m of the mind then when I get married, we’ll elope; then have a party for everyone else when we get back. I don’t have the constitution needed to survive wedding planning. 😂
Thank you so much! Honestly, I completely understand the appeal of eloping-it sounds so much less stressful. 😂 Wedding planning is definitely not for the faint of heart, and I have no idea why i thought it would be fun.......
@ Congratulations, BTW! I feel sad about it though. I don’t want the “courthouse” shindig - blah! But it’s the meaning that counts the most right? Idk, I’m picky and I’d rather not have one UNTIL I can get what I WANT, is that bad?!? 🤣🧐😱😩
No they are not. They are as expansive as you'd like them to be. Most people (Tia included) pay for comfort and peace of mind (rightfully so, having a full time job). I got married in July, had 80 guests, a beautiful wedding, paid a fraction of that doing MANY things myself with the help of friends and family. We did our own stationary, decor, etc. It's extremely time consuming and you'll lose your mind at some point, but we saved a TON of money 😊
Thank you about "normal" normal used to be a few friends/family in a church and dinner at home... as "reception." Look at photos from the 50's and earlier omg, folks didn't even where "white" in US/Europe, they wore their BEST dress...that athey already had in many parts of the world.

The high yield saving account is such solid advice. This was insightful! Crazy how fast the budgets change overtime!

Weddings are soooooooooo EXPENSIVE!?! Omg, we ❤ each other VERY much - we just can’t AFFORD a wedding, so we’re not having one. 😂😂😂 FR….
@@trinnytron that’s fair! I wish I had the money and didn’t want a wedding 🥹 because it’s so illogical, but alas!

That's totally understandable and why we got married legally two years before our wedding😅 I very much get it!

Congratulations 👏 again it was so beautiful 😍
@@hettyj8335 thank you Hetty 🥰🥰
That is smart what you did financially for the wedding and working on DIY.
Thank you! Not too much because I didn't want to stress myself out but enough to save us a few hundreds if not thousands of dollars at least!
@ you’re welcome
