The racing has been a snooze fest up until this point. It's like nobody wanted to gain position by passing on the road. When drivers actually go over the edge it's entertaining to watch.
1:56 - Jamie out braked himself, couldn't make the corner and ran Scotty off the road, poor driving. 5:05 - Scotty left Holdsworth heaps of room (over half the track) made the corner, didn't run Lee off the road and gets a penalty. Well done Shell Ford DJR despite the obviously incompetent and/or bias officials.
I think they're two different situations. It looks like Jamie came in too hot, locked up and bumped scotty. In the Holdsworth exchange, it looks to me like Scotty was planning to be further forward than he was. Where he ended up, holdsworth had the right of way. (Again, I think. I'm not 100% sure on either of the calls)
These commentators are trash. They literally tried every bit of their best to say Whincup was not at fault, nice try folks, but everyone with a relatively good eyesight and an unbiased brian can see Whincup literally lost control and hit Mclaughlin off the track.
Offering Jamie a share of T8 was a genius move for the team. When Shane wins, Jamie wins and you can see the difference. Two cars working against the one Shell car.
Jamie looses the rear and pushes Scott off the road and gets a 15 sec time penalty. Scott staying on the curbs and gets turned in on and also gets a 15 sec time penalty. Interesting.
@@TANOFTZ well both Canada and Mexico have their own NASCAR series sanctioned by American one but doesn't seem to do type of thing that you're suggesting. DTM and Japanese GT championship did a race with both cars in same race maybe Australians should do something like that
We can’t be holding drivers up to a standard of perfection, these are heavy cars with no abs or traction control and locking brakes is easy to do. I’m not a red bull fan but a Shell DJRTP fan but as soon as the drivers stop making those line ball moves, the racing becomes boring...

Supercars is holden biased for sure and look very bad. I have noticed supercars will not address festering sores from teams from previous years. last year for instance ford received fines and penalies from supercars for holding up drivers then this year vangisbergen admits to doing the exact same thing as ford done and no fine or penalty given to 888 holden which should have been given a harsh penalty for blatantly admitting it to stop future tensions between rival teams and keep the racing fair and exciting instead of saying yeah watch this he is going to do this and supercars are going to do this to ford and that for holden and totally predictable and makes the racing boring, ho hum here we go again and turn telly off david reynolds had a altercation with a rival team last year and has admitted to trying to take out and put out the race his rival team mate and it is still going this year. Supercars should have stepped in with fines and penalties to put this rubbish to bed and go no further this schoolboy nonsense (no bias is meant or implied to any team this is just what I am seeing) triple8 are average drivers and cannot seem to win any race without favouritism from supercars and has almost become a joke and need serious reform to make the racing great how it once was. I used to think whoever had the car and skill on the day won the race but not now (please no offence is meant to anyone)

(and by the way holden is far from dead, it has other cars ready to launch) it is about the uneven treatment handed out by supercars and the rot from previous years still playing out by drivers today which should have been put to bed and race fairly so whoever is the best wins on the day, not penalise one team to give the win to their preferred team and brand, that is what is noticable. I say cut out the rot and race today's race not yesterday's race

except 88 ended worse off. if it was intentional, the penalty should've been expected. it clearly wasn't, he had an incredible amount of pace, and went for the gap. sure, 88 could've waited, but he's a race driver, it's his job. do you just want there to be parade around for 24 laps? that would be really fun

Scotty was at at Holdsworth B pillar. The rules state that once your at the B pillar the car in front has to leave room. That was a bullshit penalty.
