Hi Don: I am replying to an older upload but just felt like writing. I really enjoy your record haul videos - I am MUCH older than you but it is so gratifying to see young people interested in so many types of music and vinyl. I am a complete music junkie but I don't really collect anymore. I grew up in San Francisco and Oakland but left there in 1973 and now live in London. However, I have seen many, many great bands and musicians (rock/jazz/folk/world/soul etc.) in my time.
Just a thought on the Lou Rawls lp you happened to get. You said you didn't know much about him - that record really comes from a later period. He recorded for Capitol in the '60s and made some incredible blues/soul/jazz influenced records, He is one of my very favorite singers. Following his period with the Philly association he wnt back to Capitol through Blue Note records and became more jazz/blues oriented again. Check him out further if you haven't already. A very soulful and sincere singer. D

Time Fades Away is one of Neil Young's best albums.

Yeah, Donny is back! Yes, you will never be the same after 'Metal Machine Music'. Polka rules BTW. Great vid mate :)

Metal Machine Music is so boring. There are literally hundreds of artists ranging from bedroom hobbyists with ancient yard sale Fostex 4-track tape recorders to 1930's thru 1990's academic avant garde composers who do "noise" so much better.
EDIT: It is however 100 times better than the hippy dippy shite that is Deja Vu by Crosby Stills Nash & Young. Hate that LP, one of the worst ever.

it's hard to listen to but it's like a $30-$40 record if it's in decent shape. Good find!

James Gang featured Joe Walsh (not sure if he's on that album, though) and Dickie Betts is a guitarist who played with The Allman Brothers.
    Great video - nice haul!
