A friend who plays told me to look him up on my pc, I couldn't stop smiling and tapping my foot. Where have you been Jr.? I can listen to you doing "Highway Patrol" and my whole day gets better. You are awesome and now you're on my bucket list to see in concert. I can't quit smiling when I hear you play!
My brother-in-law was a Highway Patrolman, first out of Dallas and later out of McAllen Texas. He died 10 years ago. I don’t know if he ever heard this song, but he would have loved it. Y’all stay safe out there.

I'd been a fan for a few years while I was in the Navy, stationed in San Diego, when I moved back to Okla. City I reconnected with my older brother, who it turns out, knows Junior really well from his time in the live music scene in Oklahoma City & Tulsa. Junior comes by his talent genetically, both his parents are/were music teachers at Rogers State University, Claremore, OK. He began playing when he was 3-4 years old, created the Guit-Steel that he plays. Spent time with Gary P. Nunn (London Homesick Blues/Austin City Limits theme song) as one of the Bunkhouse Boys. Been told that he's a funny sob, along with talented as a mofo. I hope to get a chance to meet him one day.
I played this as a police officer while driving in my squad car just for fun. Life or death was right around the corner in big cities! I made it after 35years.....Pray for the new officers!
I saw him live in 2005 or so. He had this strange almost trance like mode he goes into when he does the guitar chorus. His eyes appeared to roll back in his head. I did enjoy the show. though. Hope he is doing great.
