  • Project Binky: A Toyota Celica GT-Four engine, gearbox and running gear is being shoe-horned into a 1980 Mini 1000. In episode 4, the Mini finally gets an engine. All the running gear gets installed and there's a miracle prop-shaft situation.
    It finally dawns on us that it just might be possible to get the 3SGTE engine in the car and the project might just work!
    Please share far and wide. Thanks for watching!

    I've enjoyed all these episodes. Better than the rubbish motoring programmes they churn out. The late kettle No. 4 deserved a good sending off. It is one of the most important parts of the whole project. There's a lot of thought going into the build.

    I like how Richard was too lazy to edit his voice-overs ; you can still hear his mouse clicks when he goes to shut it off

    WOW, its coming along. I was really looking forward to this episode. Getting the mini to sit low enough will be another challenge, otherwise it will come out looking like a monster truck. Crack on lads and go easy with the English breakfast.

      @BadObsessionMotorsport  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have no fear, it won't be a monster truck. It will be a monster though.

    You put Ed China to shame. And we all like abit of wheelers dealers, but your channel could possibly be on TV. I'd watch, even the repeats!

    I had a dream to put a 3 ltr duroteck and running gear from a stype jag into a relient kitten.
    But after watching this I've realized I'm a spastic with no engineering knowledge no equipment and not a chance in hel.
    What ungodly amount of money do need to earn to pay you guys to biuld it for me?
    What a vid what a car .nice one guys can't wait for next episode.

    I was made redundant not so long ago and I've noticed you seem to have a need for a full time tea maker. If you're interested I can send you my CV?... On a serious note, I'm loving the episodes so far and Nick is an engineering mastermind if he can get that engine, drive train and suspension to work well inside the standard length mini shell!

    • @BadObsessionMotorsport
      @BadObsessionMotorsport  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      The tea maker position is of utmost importance. We can't just employ someone willy-nilly. A thorough recruitment process must be started... ;-)

    Do you ever get radiation burn when not using a glove during welding. I can see the practicalities of it. A lot of effort gone into the build and the film production....good job.
