So instead of letting a broker, pay for your fuel to go home. At a dollar a mile, you're going to pay out of pocket for your fuel to go home..😂😂😂 This is why the majority of owner operators live paycheck to paycheck
Not sure why I'm even replaying. You clearly didn't listen to ANYTHING I said. And if your time is just worth FUEL. then good for you. Let me explain, which you probably won't understand either, since you are clearly just trolling per your last comment on my previous video. But other people read these comments. If I take a 44k load out of Denver, probably beer or cheese, over the rockies (As you said, back "home") my truck will get 5-5.5mpg. To drive 600 Miles, that will be roughly 120g of fuel. So around $500. Plus Reefer. Lets say another $30. So $530 just in fuel alone. So lets say I booked a load for $1.20, so that leaves me $190 profit right? Well, lets HOPE i get loading in 3-4hours (Beer Loads have taken 8-10hrs) But lets say 3hrs by the time I check in get loaded and checkout (And hope I wasn't overweight) Then, I get to deliver. Let's say 2 hours. So 5 hours of wasted time. Oh let's not forget the extra wear and tear on the truck hauling 44k. Let's just throw that in. OR. I can go home.. 563 miles. use about 60g of Fuel, so about $240.00. Which is nothing to me. NOW, it seems like you maybe jealous or butt hurt because YOU can't spend the $240 in fuel to do whatever you want? Shit my excursions uses that much driving around town. I never complained about deadheading home. I REFUSE to take $1.00 mile load when I can deadhead home and get $3.00 mile loads in Vegas or Salt Lake. Thats what experience will do. You don't make dumb rash decisions by taking $1.00 loads. A True business minded person will understand what needs to be done. Taking $1.00 mile loads will take you down faster than deadheading to a better area. And I hope everyone comments under your post that YOU ARE THE PROBLEM! Just for your information since you are obviously new. I've been doing this for well over 10 years as a business owner, I have videos showing that. I Don't live Paycheck to Paycheck, I Can sit at home for 3-4 days (Which I will probably do now) Paid off equipment and I also have another driver leased onto me. So I'm not sure if you were talking about yourself living paycheck to paycheck. But it seems like your comment was more focused on YOUR life and YOUR situation considering you know NOTHING about mine. If you want to troll, that's fine. But you look like an idiot doing it.
@DrivingByBraille I know a lot about your situation. You put it all over the internet about a month ago. You were talking about how you needed a load to go through or you would not have fuel money to run the following week....you are barely hanging on...its not nessearily what you youtubers say but also what you don't say...people gotta read between the lines to see what's really going on. The only reason you have me it 10 years is falling back on credit cards. You have not built any bank account to fall back on because your profit margins are lower than they should be because you deadhead too much....your taking that fuel money to go home out of your profit from last load.
@Ifyouonlynew Yup, you have it all figured out! Too bad everything that you just said is completely wrong. But keep believing you have someone you don’t know and only go by what I say on here, figured out. 👍🏻 keep watching. I need that TH-cam money to pay my Credit Cards.
It's a sh** show for sure! The midwest is ok. But I avoid the 11 western. Low rates & high fuel cost=no good. I didn't think it was ever going to get this bad! Great video.
Beer loads are a nightmare, I confirm. If you went to Bud/Coors you’d be there for some time even if everything went smooth. And that’s with drop and hook. You have to wonder with the sales of alcohol and how much value people find in it why that rate would be so low.
@@DrivingByBraille Yeah I saw that… Some would be ok to being a slave to the industry I guess essentially for “gas money.” Time is money. We could also consider how it would reflect during tax time. Adding $190 on to your total income looks like a gain, spending more in fuel with no gain we know is a “loss” with a business. Those low rates to get back home may actually end up hurting you in the end. Maybe 🤷♂️
Do it like the Chicago area companies and get a couple dozen trucks with the same VIN number to keep expenses low . Next hire you some drivers there's an unlimited Supply coming across the border daily. This seems to be the winning combination don't worry you won't get in trouble it's all about diversity LOL
Haha, My buddy was talking about that. Buy a bunch of trucks, throw the foreigners (He calls them import drivers) in them and pay them $0.30cpm running Amazon. I'd have to get me a Ukrainian or Bosnian office personal so they could hook me up with their insurance company. Seems like they can hit whatever they want and stay afloat.
@DrivingByBraille Import Drivers 🤣 perfect terminology! Yeah its got to be hard to stay ahead or even stay afloat when so many aren't playing fair (legal).
and they are trying to sell 175.000 dollar trucks and up from there, owner operators need a CALCULATOR, wallmart has them as low as 12,00 dollars,i was in it twice, made a lot of money in 70;s thru 80's like 3-4 aa mile them 12-20 oversize, bit it's OVER!!!! DONE

You do not understand the rates are in the shiter.
@knightranger1783 How do I not understand did you even read my comment? I just said take a dollar

Just found your channel, subscribed! Great stuff! Denver has turned into an absolute $hithole.

But the comments below, it’s only about fuel! Your time is worth nothing, according to some. 😉

Yes, it's Challenging. Getting out of Denver. I live in Pueblo, Colorado.

I’ll be in Denver in about 6 hours. I’ll be unloading tomorrow then I have a beer run back to Kansas
That's a good way to get out Denver or just Colorado in general.
Everyone knows you stay out of Denver what did you expect
I said in the video this exact same thing. So thanks for mimicking what I said. Shows you listened.
Smart business decision 😂
