I had a pretty wet day with mine and while it's still technically works, there seems to be a lot more resistance throughout the drivetrain now. It's a lot harder to do precise crawling 😞
Yeah it can bind up a lot, if you strip it down you'll probably find your bushings are a little crusty and that's what's creating the resistance. It's not got the best slow speed control to start with!
I just went through the same thing , tore everything apart , oiled up the bushings , axle shafts , and gearbox , running smother than new ! Tideous but worth it
All you have to do is to take apart what’s causing the issues (my case was binding when turning) clean it up and use some lube oil. ( I used WD-40 it’s not the best as a lubricant but it works
Yeah it is. Only thing I would say, if you run your rigs in water they will need more maintenance, as bushings get crusty, bearings will perish over time etc. If you don't want to deal with all of that, keep them dry. 👍
Maybe you killed the esc or motor. Does the esc turn on and does it make any noise when you give it throttle? The bushings can seize up too which can bind it up.
@CrazyRcadventuring Oh dear, that's no good. Fresh water is normally OK, but chlorine and salt water etc probably aren't the best. The stock bushings can get rusty too, clean them up and it'll run much smoother. Or switch to bearings. 👍

@Matvvy Yeah the electronics are waterproof on the 1/10 TRX4 as well. Motors won't last forever if you get them wet though. Got loads of water and mud runs with my TRX4 on my channel if you want to see how wet and muddy you can get it. 👍

Ah cool, I wish if gone for the Green tbh, the red paint I'm not so fussed on, plus it's so thin.

It's waterproof out the box. I've had no issues submerging mine but water does tend to break stuff sooner or later. 👍

when you open the 4m straight out of the box do you need to glue the tires/do they also need foam inserts?
