Great video, profound review! Again, love the outside footage/B-roll! :) + also the more dynamic A-roll!
I got the MacBook Pro M1 Pro 16" and wanted something more portable, so i were thinking about selling my 16" and getting the 14" M3 Pro. Picked up the MacBook Air M2 13" instead as a complement to my 16", I'm super happy with it! If I need to do something really demanding or if I'm working stationary for a long time I'll just use the 16". Really impressed and goes hand in hand with the larger MacBook Pro :)
ive been using this for 3 months and it's the best in macbook line-up yet, love the black color
Great review, Conor! Just picked one up for college, and it has been awesome!
@@ConorButkovic I went with the 8 GB in space gray. It handles photo/video editing and design work very well!
Cool Video
I went from Intel 2020 MacBook Air and went straight to the M2 MacBook Air 15 inch with 24GB Ram and 256 SSD storage and its a definite powerhouse! Especially with the educational discount!
That’s definitely a big upgrade!! And with the student discount it’s such a good deal!
@@ConorButkovic by the way, apparently someone told me or “engineer” was literally giving me negative feedback about only having base storage and that it might die out in the future for updates due to low storage, should I even be worried?? That guy was literally negative just because I didn’t get at least 512gb SSD
I wouldn't worry as these things are built to last! Just take a look at the iPads for example, even the ones from 2015 still perform great and are software supported so I think its gonna be the same story with the Macs and Apple silicone
@@ConorButkovic thanks man! Not sure why people think SSD matters more than RAM which only if only uses memory swap, but I don’t regret getting 24GB RAM which is a huge help for me and having that extra Ram feels so satisfying!
Thanks for this video!👌🏽 Would you say the 15 inch M2 Air with 24GB RAM and 512GB storage is a good option for a beginner graphic designer? I’ll mainly be using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
That is definitely a good option! Lots of power there to work in the Adobe Suite 👌🏻
If you haven’t bought anything yet I think with this money it is better to get a MacBook Pro M1 Pro 14 it is better at everything but it will be 16gb of ram other than that it is a power house and better than the m2 air however if you got the m2 air I have it too it’s amazing I bought it for 900 dollars so I thought it was a good deal new
I would be interested to hear why you went with the 13 inch over the 15 inch. Was it price? Portability? I'm currently trying to decide what size is best for me.
well this is a one year review. while the 15” only just came out this year
I enjoy the portability! For me, I like having smaller devices when I'm out and doing things away from home. And if or when I need a bigger screen I just connect to an external monitor once I'm back home
Do you feel any shutters while opening and minimising apps, on widget screen and stage manager?
it doesn't for me no, might just be a software issue if your having that
Hi conor
Do u use a screenguard for your macbook?
Is it advisable to use one.?
Hey! I don’t use one no, I recommend you don’t as it could cause damage to your screen in the long term
Bro i need this MacBook for coding, college assignments and some regular stuff like watching movies. Should I buy the base model or upgrade storage
I would look into ram upgrades before storage, it’ll be better for the machine unless you know you need a lot of storage… my suggestion is to get the best you can get and then just keep it for as long as possible!
@@ConorButkovic I like to upgrade my devices so i will probably upgrade my macbook after 1.5-2 years max. So in that case should i think about future proofing
Where is this beautiful place?
Can you please just tell me that how much space does mac os and system takes from 256 GB after this long. I am just confused between 8 GB and 256 GB variant or 8 GB and 512 GB variant.
macOS doesn't take up too much, you're probably looking at 10-15GB used. Depending on what you plan on doing, grabbing an external SSD is always a great option to both save some money and get more storage capacity
Quick question … is the base model enough for python users and best choice for daily use ?
Thankks for the vid 😊😊
thanks!! thats kinda tough to say, I might upgrade the ram id that is the main thing you plan on doing
Great Video! I have the base model MacBook Air M2. Bought it for around 1000€ on sale. Even as a computer science student it serves perfectly my needs! I'm gonna upgrade to a pro model anyway in 2-3 years bc I want the pro motion display haha. Greetings from Germany!
The ProMotion is a nice bonus feature, but like you said the Air can do it all! Thank you for watching!
Macbook air 13 inch are best price to value Apple product imo. Anything beyond them are only for editing jobs Photoshop.
Can you provide more information about the color and durability of the material? Is it easy to clean? 🤍
This is silver! It’s very easy to clean and it doesn’t show dirt or smudges so it’s always looking good!
Recently got the midnight base version , I'm already impressed with the flawless perfomance of this macbook.
It’s so good!! How are you liking the colour choice??
Thinking of getting the Midnight base during Black Friday too! Is it really a fingerprint magnet and how is it easy to clean?
I was thinking of the same! How’s the fingerprint mask going?
