On the ps4, ps5, and xbox you can go to game install and download the data pack 1 2 and 3 so you can play the multiplayer. Sometimes, you will need to to go to the home screen on your console and press options on the game and then go to manage game content and you will see the different data packs under this section where you can download the data packs. ...

PlayStation 4 METHOD!
1. Close app if you have it running
2. Go to your Library
3. Choose Purchased
4. Select MW
5. Scroll down to Playstation Store and then scroll to the right and open My Add ons
6. Find the content that needs installed and install it
7. When the download finishes, let your new content install and restart your game

This is for PS5
Firstly, I had Warzone before I got modern warfare. That was part of the issue I think.
Secondly, once I downloaded modern warfare, I couldn’t play multiplayer on MW.
What I did wrong :
When I purchased MW, I tried to download all the packs. The pack at the bottom of all the installs, seemed to be undownloaded. Whenever I clicked on it. It seemed to install immediately, but the game didn’t work.
What I did to fix it:
I deleted MW First. As soon as I did that, the pack at the bottom started downloading. Approximately 20gb.
I then deleted Warzone.
Then I downloaded the main MW game only, no other add ons.
Once that downloaded, I just downloaded the packs that said multiplayer on them.
Then restarted.
That worked for me.

It was a little confusing to find it but I find it this way.
So, when you have your logo of any game, in this case COD MW. We hover over the application, and then it will display below different options.
While you see different options of any application.
Scroll down to PlayStation store and there it will show all the add ons in your package installed.
Yet again, as the brother said in the video.
Once only the packages are downloaded, we need to installed them again by clicking the download button.
I hope everyone find this helpful.
It works on PS4. Not sure about others.
1. Hover over App
2. Scroll down to view different options.
3. Go to PlayStation Store
4. Select your desired add on and click again to download(install) yes it's confusing.

bruh imagine not just bundling all downloads for one game together and having them download all together. Instead of only have two in the list in the game. I feel like they dont want use to play their game.

I found out my issue was that I had the disk originally but then bought the game on digital so I had to dig my disk out from where I left it and now it’s fine

I had warzone already installed on my PS5, put MW disc in and tells me delete warzone and instal it AGAIN, that’s 150gb sized file. What the F is this sht?? And then there’s this issue with shop being not available! Activision FIX YOUR SHT!

I believe that it’s because if u bought the disc issue and you download the game via ur online library, it will be registered as warzone

I’m actually getting annoyed at this point I’ve downloaded all packs but every time I come off the manage game content screen it uninstalls some of them again and I’ve downloaded mp pack 2 like 5 times 22gb but each time it finishes downloading It doesn’t install it says it has but when I load up the game and check it says “multiplayer pack 2 not installed” so I go back to manage game content and the same happens again some of my packs are uninstalled and I have to download mp pack 2 for the 100th time it’s weird because the multiplayer pack 2 is the only one I have to re download the others install then uninstall soon as I come off the manage game content screen does anyone know what’s happening? I'm not sure if you have the same thing but I got the game off of game share, if you also did then go to the shared account and download the packs from there, that worked for me. If you didn't get the game off of game share then I'm not sure, sorry.

I download all packs then when the last one downloads it shows multiplayer is good then when I click on it it tells me something’s not downloaded and when I go back to add ones all the stuff I downloaded is needed to down load again

It's a thing because they incorporated warzone into all the games, mw, cw, and vanguard, followed by mw2 next month. They should've kept warzone by itself without taking up major space for a mode I will never touch. It wouldn't be an issue if it didn't take up almost half a 450gb storage drive. As of yesterday it was at 211gb, while I have a good extended storage drive, I still deleted it, because 211gb is ridiculous just so I can play the only mode I like, multi-player. My guys told me I can just download the mp packs and it will be less gigs wasting space, sadly warzone is still there leaching space.

My issue with this game on Xbox is that it doesn't even show up in the title menu all it has is pre-order Modern Warfare 2 play Warzone and purchase Call of Duty Vanguard there's no Modern Warfare play option and this even happens when the disc is in the console

Please HELP, I have the a physical disk of MW (ps4), was forced to do the latest update (Last Stand), i checked im logged in to playstore & my Activision user account pops up on the top right hand corner on the games interface but when i try to play campaign offline it say im missing "Single player dlc packs" ----> The store is unavailable. This is incredible frustrating.

@@momajimomojo5132 I’ve tried it 3 times downloaded the base game and all the multiplayer packs. The only one that isn’t working is the Multiplayer and Special Ops pack. It says installation stopped and then I end up having to delete the game all over again.

Just incase it helps anyone, a friend gameshared this to me - and through my account it didn't download all the necessary packs, I had to log in TO THE GAME on his account and then it download ALL MULTIPLAYER PACKS - and it allowed me to play multiplayer, YOU DON'T HAVE TO DOWNLOAD ALL THE PACKS ONLY MULTIPLAYER NAMED ONES.

bro im on ps5 and whenever i got to download the multiplayer pack, It just instantly installs. I go back home, go back to manage game content and it says its not installed. I've tried to delete and reinstall the full game and its still doing this.
