Reo 900 - Talks about losing dad at young age, Turning to writing before music, Uncles role models

Pulled up to East Oakland, CA to chop up game with Reo 900 and learn about his come up before the music. Reo explains how he grew up under his grandmas roof most of his life due to the fact his dad going to prison and later on passing away from cancer. His mom played a huge role raising his two sisters and himself. Reo explains how his dads friends talked to him and let him know he was the man of the house now and basically he had to step up. He didnt know how to take that in because he was barely a teenager when his dad passed away. Reo also mentions how his uncles played a huge role in his life by stepping up and being there for him. His uncles was a key factor to his support system but most importantly his mom was as well. Reo and his mom have bonded over there struggles. Some families break a part but in his case it only made them stronger and closer. Reo mentions how he played soccer and was a skateboarder before music as well as a writer. Writing was his way of expressing himself and the things he was going through at a young age. Reo explains how his cousins used to rap and he was always around them in the studio and thats what sparked his interest to transition from a writer to a music writer.
