It was always a very poor, rural little town with a good mix of black, Hispanic and poor white people. Peaceful, pretty place. Site of healing springs at one time, I think. I haven't been through there in ten years, though. Church was 60% Hispanic, I understand. Lots of people to kill just so you can shoot your mother-in- law. So sad.

I held 3 teenagers at gunpoint that broke into a neighbor's home. The district attorney called a grand jury to review my actions. Another time, I chased a car that had left the scene of a shooting. The police dispatcher told me to stop following them. Caught a peeping-tom behind my house at 11pm. He ran, so I fired 3 warning shots in the air to make him stop. I held him for 30 minutes waiting for the police. During that time, he broke free and got away. When the police did come, they took my legally purchased gun and told me to go back to the gun seller to get all the original receipts and background paperwork in order to get my gun back. A detective called the next day to say if it was him, he would have just shot the guy dead, yet if I ever do that again, I would be arrested. It took 6 months to get my gun back. I don't get involved anymore.
These men are true American heroes, worthy of admiration and celebration. Unfortunately American media and platforms like youtube will assure that they fall into obscurity. Sad.

This is why I love Texas. You see a shootout in front of you. Guy runs with his AR15 rifle and says he the good guy and you immediately gun up with him and start handing out some Texas level justice.

I held 3 teenagers at gunpoint that broke into a neighbor's home. The district attorney called a grand jury to review my actions.
Another time, I chased a car that had left the scene of a shooting. The police dispatcher told me to stop following them.
Caught a peeping-tom behind my house at 11pm. He ran, so I fired 3 warning shots in the air to make him stop. I held him for 30 minutes waiting for the police. During that time, he broke free and got away. When the police did come, they took my legally purchased gun and told me to go back to the gun seller to get all the original receipts and background paperwork in order to get my gun back. A detective called the next day to say if it was him, he would have just shot the guy dead, yet if I ever do that again, I would be arrested. It took 6 months to get my gun back. I don't get involved anymore.
Thank God for well rounded Texas men with manners, morals, guts and gumption.

These men are true American heroes, worthy of admiration and celebration. Unfortunately American media and platforms like youtube will assure that they fall into obscurity. Sad.
