How to scratch-build and paint an Ork Trukk for Warhammer 40000!

- In this tutorial I show my take on scratch-building and painting an Ork Trukk for Warhammer 40000.
The main materials used are cardboard, plastic card and wood. It's painted using mostly contrast paints and fluorescent paints from Huge Miniatures.

Your Trukk looks awesome and is 100% lore accurate! Throwing together what looks like it'll work and painting it with a VERY sneaky camouflage is the Ork way. The bigger wheels on the front is just that perfect "of course an Ork would do that" kind of detail. Definitely going to pick up those neon paints when I get a Kommando squad!

love it looks awesome, the thing about Orks is can make anything random to add to your vehicles with the goal being having as much fun as possible, do think it would be rather cheeky if you do a wrecking ball made up of grenades painted bright yellow that you could swap out with potentially any work vehicle/item/device, if ya can set, is up on a lego brick system if ya can grab some random bits from secondhand stores. do think a tire could also work as wrecking ball if ya cover it in zip ties or knives as well
your use of Neon paints for Orks is really cool lol now imagine a Punk warband with knifes for mohawks

That looks like it was a lot of fun to make! Love the painting too, as always. I feel like with these kind of projects it's easy to start stressing about details and going round in circles trying to improve stuff (at least that's what I do!). From an outside perspective though, you've turned what was just a pile of cardboard into an ace 40k Ork truck. Very cool.
Similarly I'd say don't worry about things like "highest possible video quality". We are here enjoying the things you make so just keep doing whatever you fancy :)

I really appreciate that, thank you! It's easy to feel like you need to somehow "measure up" to the big channels out there but it's just not really an option at this point.
@@dicendemons I wouldn't stress it at all! There are quite a few big 40k channels out there that feel more "youtube" than 40k. I'd much rather watch channels like yours and see someone just enjoying the hobby and sharing the fun they have along the way. Looking forward to whatever comes next!

Emma, if you have a ceiling light with several lamps, you can replace one of the lamps with a UV lamp (with E14 or E27 socket). If it's one of 5 lamps, it won't be visible much, but it'll make the fluo paints glow visibly. At least that's what my experience was.
