Thank you, Maria, for another beautiful work. It is very helpful to watch you actually painting these trees and seeing how you work to get the effects you want.
Love them Maria, and so pleased to see you put in as many eyes as I have done on mine. Was told there were too many, but that is what I saw on our trees at home. 😁🤗
This turned out so beautiful too. I found this video a couple of hours after I watched your spruce tree painting. Birch trees are so popular right now in crafting. I want to do Christmas cards with Birch trees this year. We'll see i I can make it happen. Thank you for sharing your creativity.
Beautiful painting Maria. Thank you so much for sharing. Every tree has its own special characteristics and your watercolor is true to the subject, even while being so fresh and free. I also agree with you about highlighting the copyright aspects of your art. I see so much piracy on the internet - paintings of one of the artists I admire were copied and now are being sold on EBay.... so as artists we can't be too careful. I am looking forward to watching more of your videos. Thank you!
Hi🌸☺️Thank you so much for your comment, that's very kind of you. and wow, that's so terrible (about one of your admired artists that work has been copied and now sold on eBay 😭).. I feel for him/her🌷Thank you for your support x
Maria...all what I have to say: just beautiful and amazing work! I really love it....like always. You are an inspiration for me and my kids. they are always waiting for your next video and watching one of them before sleep :) ...just wana tell you
Maria, Your demonstrations are superb and results are stunning. I have one problem that I need help with. For the past 2 years I have bought more magazines, paints, brushes, papers than you would find in an art store. Yet, I still seem unable to put brush to paper. Some kind of mental blockage, fear, I don't know what 🙁 Any advice from such a stunning artist would be a lifesaver. I am desperate to start watercolour painting. Yours in desperation 🇬🇧😁
Hi Tom, I think it's important to take little steps and even if you know in your mind how to paint something, still try to do it like a beginner, small setup.. maybe you are afraid in your mind that what if the painting won't turn out the way you want it to be.. and then you will have harsh feelings towards it, maybe won't want to paint again... I'd suggest to start from painting very simple things :) small steps.. for example a sky with clouds... a tree, try wet on wet very loose watercolor style... my paintings tend to be more detailed but there's few easier tutorials if you start looking in my gallery😀I wish you luck Tom! Just sit down, relax and wet your paper, then with a brush and paint... make the first drop 😋
Hi Maria, I am a huge fan of your paintings and I like the idea of a "Self Taught" artist. i have started following your videos to be one like you. You are true motivation. Is there a way to start with the basics.??
Hi Ananya:) thank you so much!! I think what got me to where I am right now with my painting is that I experimented a lot.. I didn't really know the traditional watercolor way.. I kept going until I liked what I saw. There's no shortcut in learning watercolors, it all comes with practice and patience :) The most important is to start with professional art supplies. I am very serious here. A very good professional grade watercolor paper is a must. I started from the best and then tried cheap. I'd say if you start with cheap it's super easy to get discouraged if you don't know any better. Don't feel like you are wasting money when painting doesn't come out right on a good paper, because otherwise it will take you longer to get where you want to be. Do color swatches of all your watercolors. Start practicing painting skies... wet on wet.. wet on dry.. so you can see the difference :)
Thank You Maria :) that bit sure is going to help me a long way. Is there a way that I can get in touch with you to know more on the kind of material to be used. I am based out of India, the material would differ from place to place.
Hi Ananya, if you go to my website www.mariamorjane.com/my-art-supplies you will find a lot of info on my own supplies and where to buy. There are pictures as well basically if you click on highlighted words or pictures it will take you to Amazon where you can buy it. thank you!
Hi Helena, thank you so much, and yes I do www.mariamorjane.com and then you can click on "buy prints" takes you right away to Etsy shop or "buy paintings" to buy my original paintings. thank you!!
Hi Maria, You gave us a great tutorial once again. I could watch you paint forever. You do it with such ease, you have so much talent. Thank you for sharing this with us. I think you are Brilliant! Please keep them coming! 💜💜💜 Kathy B. (fairylady0227)
Hi Carole, thank you :) Neutral tint is just like any other watercolor, it's very dark closer to black, I feel like it's between payne's grey and black. It's a watercolor so you can mix it with other watercolors.
Great painting, Maria! Love your tutorials. I am a beginner in watercolor and I have a question if you allow me: At 6:44, you mention that you letthe paper dry before starting to use the angular brush. Why is it important for the paper to be fully dry for that next stage of painting?
Hi Ali because you are working with water, so once you have one layer in that is wet, if you add another layer on top of a wet layer, colors will bleed into each other, if you don't want colors to bleed you have to wait for the previous layer to dry, so you next layer can be painted wet on dry. thanks
Hi, I don't paint right now with crayons, I may do a tutorial on watercolor pencils eventually and I'm sorry but I don't know any artists that do pencil crayon. Thank you

Thank you so much Kathy😋💜🙃You left me such a 💕sweet comment and I appreciate that, it's nice to read it first thing in the morning 😉😍
Excellent and very helpful tutorial! I've never heard of neutral tint before. How us it used? It can be mixed? Thanks again. - Carole.
Hi Carole, thank you :) Neutral tint is just like any other watercolor, it's very dark closer to black, I feel like it's between payne's grey and black. It's a watercolor so you can mix it with other watercolors.
Maria Raczynska Thanks. I thought maybe it was a different formulation as opposed to a colour!
your welcome :) The Neutral Tint I am using is by Holbein
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
🌸🤗
Don't get any better than that. Thank You !
Thank you so much Dan :)

I see you have artist hands.
thank you Enrique :)
Is natural tint similar to Payne's Grey?
Hi Chimera, yes! it is :)
can you do a pencil crayon tutorial of do you not do that kind of thing if so do you have any artists that you can recommend for pencil crayon art thx
Hi, I don't paint right now with crayons, I may do a tutorial on watercolor pencils eventually and I'm sorry but I don't know any artists that do pencil crayon. Thank you
