Love the video! I remember reading an article from BASSBOSS's old forum about RMS power. I now adopt the adage "$20 is $20 but 1000W RMS is not 1000W RMS". What is RMS power? How is the RMS power calculated? How many cycles can the amp deliver? I have a the BASSBOSS VS21 and ZV28 subs and appreciate the power the amps put out. Listen to them for yourself, compare with something else that is around the same "RMS" rating , side by side as David mentions. Especially for bass heavy songs which deliver longer bass notes.
RMS is continuous power. Always buy speakers or amplifiers with RMS power. Never buy a speaker with Peak Power. Peak power refers to the maximum wattage a speaker can consume in short bursts without being damaged .
I own a pair of ssp118mk3 at first i didnt like it but once i updated the subwoofer's firmware and got to open up the dsp with the control bass software and tailored it to my kind of music its a night and day difference definitely the best sounding single 18s ive ever owned. And im coming from yorkville & rcf. My pair of NXL24a tops cant keep up.
What are you using them for? I use to own 4 Danley TH-118 subs. I sold them in favor of just a pair of SSP118 BassBoss subs (downsizing). The Danley subs were monstrous and always made room fixtures fall at venues (lights, bulbs, HVAC vents, ceiling tile). I just didn’t like having to deal with external amps and DSP. I get lots of accolades and sound quality responses from my BassBoss setup considering their small footprint versus their loud and quality sound output.
@@AmosDelekile The BB subs definitely go lower than a standard Danley TH-118 sub and also more than the TH-118XL. Those Danley subs will be a little louder at max SPL. I’m talking 18” and 21” BB subs in comparison. When it comes to tops, I’m not totally sure.
@@gaffle-411 How much of a downsize was this volume wise? Seems like 4 TH-118 would walk all over two SSP118 and im an SSP118 advocate. I own one and love it.
BassBoss is killing it. I own: DV12 MK2, SSP118 MK2, and SV9 MK3. Looking to acquire the BB15 soon.
Well said from the Wizard! Bassboss for life. There is nothing better?

@@luckysakonta3724 lol right?
In summary, BB is louder and hits harder than anything else on the market, while sounding 100x better. If you don't believe me, go listen to them.

That is the way Americans thinks.
