  • Welcome to NJCaliGardener & family
In today's video njcali shares an update on the tree collard cuttings aswell his three year journey growing tree collards from seed and what he's learned. Tree collards will make a great addition to the following.
Food forest, homestead , permculture, farm agroforesty design. We grow different varieties in our garden because we not only love greens but we wanted to see how each variety
Does in our family food forest as Lady NJ calls it. We like to thank the project tree collard for making this possible. Sharing what you love to the world. With out you and many others we wouldn't have a life time abundance of food. (Tree collards) please like

I have a dino kale or theres an italian name for it like something noire or W/E. I'm up in canada and I was harvesting this February. Its super hardy. Its just drying out now but it will grow again come spring, its already 2 years old maybe. Its not bad. I'm not a big fane of kale but I put some into salad, soup or curry. It does seem to taste way better in winter but it bolted in summer so maybe thats why it was bitter.

The purple is ALWAYS sturdier & more resistant to pests than the others. The green ones are generally more susceptible to pest damage. I didn't do the dinos because I'm not a fan of kale 'cause I REFUSE TO GENTRIFY MY GREENS!!! 🤣🤣.... And merritt is pronounced "MERR'it" (emphasis on the "MERR")
3:03 That's what I call Mine because the ACTUAL name is GreenGiant, but I name My plants and I've named them that as a result.
ProjectTreeCollard is truly one of THE MOST CREDIBLE sources for those starting out though. Sequoia is an OG!
