    I would add re. dance, some factors our politically correct society fail to mention:
    1. Hetero (M/F) choreographers work better with women; the respective dialogue opens to nuanced interactions (with all their baggage & inner conflict).
    2. Men come and go - unstable - it's easier for them. Women endure, last longer, work those extra hours men won't agree to. Women dancers are more consistent.

    I do not understand why you touch the classics and change them? There is a lot of music and stories in the world still available to dance. Do you think you are bigger than Petipa, Ivanov, Vainonen?

      Maybe because he doesn't believe in fairy tales? Those are for children. I think he uses the music because it is extraordinary and inspires him and....he is not bigger than Petipa, but equally brilliant.... maybe you should open your mind :)
