When you started with the black on the sky, I was stunned! But I really, really loved it! :D I would never even think of bringing black into a sky, so that was VERY new to me, but, you made it look sooooo good.

Thank you! No I only used a bit of water and some craft paints for black and white. The rest are my usual heavy bodied ones 🤗

Gorgeous. Ive never painted but I’m painting a beach scene now from your tutorials. If I were to make this painting with a more pink and purple sky what two dominant shades would you recommend?

Thanks! There are sooo many pinks and purples so choose what shades you like. I’d personally choose neon pink and cobalt blue to make different shades of purple. Holbein luminous Pink, and Cobalt Blue by Holbein or Liquitex basics 👍

I really love your painting style. Just curious though - why you use so much of the luminous colours...orange, yellow, red, etc? The colours are beautiful but is it for a specific technique?

What is your advice...
I am always scared while painting. Like I am going to mess up. I struggle with over thinking everything & get annoyed when it doesn’t look perfect. I seem to get stuck in the ugly phase & don’t know how to get past it to make it look better.

I used to go through that phase when learning to paint. You have to push through it and keep going, ignore the fact that it’s at an “ugly phase” it’s perfectly normal and means you’re getting somewhere, KEEP GOING😘🎨❤️

The paint that you used looks thinner. It’s either a different brand that I use or you added water to it

Yes it’s a thinner acrylic I am using this time for my black and white. The rest of the colours are my usual heavy bodied acrylics😘
