I like the project estimate 200-300v and someone built one door equal to 600w x 2 =1200w at 220-280v, so this is closer to real! Plus, over time, the plexiglass can be yellowing from sunburning? That is why solar panels used glass? But still a great DIY Solar project.

Just do the math. Sunlight has 1kW to 1 sq.meter. Efficiency of a respectful solar cell available is .33:1. Door panels add up to 4 sq.meter. 1kW x 4 sq.m x .33 = 1.32kW is not 3kW as it claims to be. We could be fooled if they clam 1.3kW and not 3kW.
Ok, let's expose the silicon by slightly rubbing the surface and basically not exposing anything. Now let's try this cd voltage generation by touching the aluminum paper with the plastic surface. Yeah, power out of plastic! In the end, I am amazed on all the the work and budget to build... this. But you know what, guys? Except from the cd part, using actual cheap solar panels this would actually work.
Er, what silicon? Cds are made of clear plastic with an aluminium film for the data. No silicon. Nothing that could work like a solar panel, ever. Solar cells are rather complex and difficult to make and this is just nonsense.

All right, a little bit of reverse engineering here. 3000 w/ 327.6 volts equals 9.1 amps 9.1 amps/ 210 CDs equals 0.043 amps or 43mA .327.6V ÷ 210 CD's 1.56V
Aluminum is a good conductor, but the problem is with current going through it aluminum burns and starts fire. In America aluminum was once used in homes for electric wire until home's started burning down and they found it was due to electrical aluminum wires.
this is because you select the wrong braked for the dimension of the aluminum cable. Aluminum is not realy the problem, but the electrican how select the breaked. But cupper is much better, you can use thiner cable for the same current.
Forgetting all the other questionable details, 3000W at 300V means the current is 10 Amps! Where do you get Aluminium foil that will carry 10A in a 1" strip? What load of old bollocks!

I like the project estimate 200-300v and someone built one door equal to 600w x 2 =1200w at 220-280v, so this is closer to real! Plus, over time, the plexiglass can be yellowing from sunburning? That is why solar panels used glass? But still a great DIY Solar project.

Yeah, power out of plastic! In the end, I am amazed on all the the work and budget to build... this. But you know what, guys? Except from the cd part, using actual cheap solar panels this would actually work.
Er, what silicon? Cds are made of clear plastic with an aluminium film for the data. No silicon. Nothing that could work like a solar panel, ever. Solar cells are rather complex and difficult to make and this is just nonsense.

Do you know the exact type of DVD or CD that can actually work? If so what sort? do you need to grind the disc to make contact with the

At around minute 9:09 where he used plastic tape to connect the Aluminum strips to the DVD. The Industry create Solar Panel with around 400Watt these days, and here he produces a 3000Watt Panel home made. Hmm, he knows more than the Industry! LOL.

3000 w/ 327.6 volts equals 9.1 amps
9.1 amps/ 210 CDs equals 0.043 amps or 43mA
.327.6V ÷ 210 CD's 1.56V

Aluminum is a good conductor, but the problem is with current going through it aluminum burns and starts fire. In America aluminum was once used in homes for electric wire until home's started burning down and they found it was due to electrical aluminum wires.
this is because you select the wrong braked for the dimension of the aluminum cable. Aluminum is not realy the problem, but the electrican how select the breaked. But cupper is much better, you can use thiner cable for the same current.
Forgetting all the other questionable details, 3000W at 300V means the current is 10 Amps! Where do you get Aluminium foil that will carry 10A in a 1" strip? What load of old bollocks!
